does anyone else have trouble breathing yet? I breathe a lot harder, sometimes almost like i'm hyperventalating when I sit in a chair or if i lay on my side/stomach(you know the position, with one leg up higher and the other one straight down) last night for the first time i kept having to sit up and finally gave up and had to sleep right on my side...which is not my first choice.

anyone else? is this early? I'm 23 weeks 3days

Yes, I noticed this happening a lot earlier this pregnancy than with dd. I wonder what that's about? Right now I can't breathe at all because of this cold I've had for a week. Ugh.

Yup...if I'm not sitting up straight, if I'm talking with clients for an extended period of time, sometimes just 'cause. Not always but often enough to be annoying. Can't wait to get a couple of months down the road!

Yes! For me it's more of a feeling of being out-of-breath. It hits me sometimes when I'm standing and I'll have to sit down (I'll feel like I'm approaching a pass-out sensation). Also if I'm lying on my back it will feel like it's hard to breath after a bit so I'll roll over to my side. I don't remember this happening before with me at all.

Yup, me too. I only had the sensation with DS starting at about 38 weeks. This time it started hitting me around 23 weeks. The level 2 ultrasound was horrible! So what do you all do when you have to sit in a chair for an extended amount of time? Or read good night stories to your older kiddos?

I think it's going to be a long 3 months.

I'm getting winded more easily, but not the "can't catch my breath" feeling yet. I'm sorry some of you have that already.

I have to sit when I get to the top of our stairs when I'm carrying the baby because I get lightheaded. My heartrate is up to the 180's with just one flight of stairs. Oy! I try to make as few trips as possible. Stinking 2 story house.

I am glad I am not the only one. I feel it every once and awhile. I thought it was just cause I am fat and pregnant. lol

Yup, but my breathing problem is probably more because I'm sick and that aggravates my asthma rather than just being pregnant. But I think I'm almost to that point again where the baby'll be squishing my lungs.

Sometimes this happens to me. I get winded easier and I often need to sleep on my side now. I know I am snoring, too.

Yeah, I don't get winded so much as I just can't move quickly anymore. It's a bit frustrating. There's just so much of me to move.

I am concerned that during acupuncture last week, the doctor had me lay on my back. They stick the needles in and leave me there for quite a long time. I could have used the buzzer to call somebody, but I felt kind of guilty doing so. Problem was baby was going crazy for some reason in my stomach. I chalk it up to me relaxing. I started to feel my heartbeat in my stomach and then the pounding ended up in my head eventually. I remember when I had the heartbeat echoing in my head, I had a feeling like I couldn't breathe. I gotta find a new way to get acupuncture, cause laying on my back is just bad... especially for over 10 minutes.
