Best and Worst So Far!

We're getting ready to hit the third trimester and I'm curious to see what you feel are the best and worst things so far about the first two trimesters?

Here's what I'm thinking right now for me (though I'm sure I'm forgetting some important stuff -- but the baby's eaten my brain so this will have to suffice haha) :

First trimester:

Best: Excitement and having a great excuse to to nap all the time.
Worst: Constipation, nausea, and acne.

Second trimester:

Best: Feeling the baby move, and nausea and acne both faded.
Worst: Heartburn, mood swings, and insomnia.

First trimester:

Best: The excitement of it all
Worst: The chronic fatigue, nausea

Second trimester:

Best: Strong fetal movement (and that the kids can feel the baby move too)
Worst: Sacral & pelvic joint pain

First semester-- chronic fatigue

Second semester-- finding things to wear

I thought third trimester wasn't until 28 wks?

First--best: the + hpt. Worst: nausea and fatigue
Second -- best: feeling the baby, not worrying so much. Worst: ligament pain, nothing to wear.

First trimester:
Best: Seeing that postive HPT!
Worst: Grouchiness and mood swings.

Second trimester:
Best: Feeling movement and seeing my belly pop!
Worst: Backaches!

I'm bad with my weeks and trimesters but I think you're right, Aprilushka, it does start right around 28.
We should have some mamas just a couple weeks away from that, though. I know I'm already a day past the 25 week mark!

(I just started week 25 and some docs refer to week 25 as beginning of 3rd trimester, though I too tend to think of beginning week 28 = 3rd trimester. Just thought it'd be fun to compare notes is all. )

You know honestly I didn't consider the fatigue a bad thing so much during 1st trimester, but then again this is my first child. If I had a toddler running around then yes, I'd likely rate it as bad. But I loved taking naps nonstnop -- I've never been much of a napper so it was a novelty for me. Felt as if I were pampering myself a lot. I look forward to it again third trimester hehe.

Good question!

First: best: knowing I was pregnant
worst: nausea, heartburn (OH the heartburn!), insomnia, fatigue, craziness, acne

Second: best: feeling the baby move!
worst: insomnia, ligament pain, heaviness, craziness, acne

Maybe I *always* have insomnia, craziness, and acne, (and heaviness, ha ha!) but it's definitely worse now . I will take the discomfort and pain of the second trimester over the first anytime though- I'm a nausea whimp.

I hear you. I *hate* nausea.

Hmmmm.....

First:

Best: Finding out we got pregnant!
Worst: tie between my job sucking so bad and 24-7 sickness

Second:

Best: Energy and FEELING ME AGAIN!!!!
Worst: Migranes.... esp. that 7 day in a rower....

First Trimester:
Best: Knowing there was a new life growing inside me.
worst: Waiting for some real evidence of that, I don't have morning sickness or any other real signs of pregnancy so it was nice when we finally heard the heart beat.

Second Trimester:
Best: Nursing Ds early in the morning. Baby is always active during that time. I love snuggling with Ds while he nurses and dozes and feeling the baby move too. The three of us curled up together, so peaceful.
Worst: No complaints so far.

1st trimester:

Best: Not having to suck it in anymore.
Worst: The fatigue and nausea

2nd trimester:

Best: Feeling the little man kick and getting a "cute" belly
Worst: Back ache and general aches and pains (c/s scar burns like the dickens)

Oh, baby. Imagine a 5 yr old and a 2 1/2 yr old and a 1 yr old running around. Oy vey!

And my doc says 26 wks - isn't each trimester 13 wks? (13+13+13 = 39 wks) So I guess 13 wks and 2 days?

My books say week 28 as the start of the 3rd trimester. Found this online which breaks it down.

*sigh*

Does it really matter?

We're nearly there.

Nope, not IMO. Just thought I'd share since there was some debate.

I am feeling so good these days. I love the second trimester.

First trimester:
Best: Being excited about pregnancy, keeping it a secret and then sharing the news with people, causing a lot of happiness. Still being able to do everything normally (for the most part).
Worst: Nausea and vomitting - how everything made me sick and want to throw up and I did throw up, at least once a day. Also, being so tired I wanted to curl up and sleep forever.

Second trimester:
Best: Feeling the baby move, feeling BH contractions (am I weird because I like feeling them?), generally feeling better and not sick anymore, feeling more "in the mood" if you know what I mean, enjoying eating again.
Worst: Yeast infections and having to pee more often
post #17 of 20
First Trimester
Worst: nausea during morning sickness, mood swings, being insecure about the birth and having to deal with baby fears, people's birthing advice and name recommendations
Best: being pregnant when we'd been trying

Second Trimester
Worst: people starting at me, people's birthing advice and name recommendations, mood swings
Best: getting my appetite back, being able to take my vitamins without getting sick, having my husband talk to my stomach (I love it!)

1st trimester:

best: no more insomnia (it went away when I got pg), seeing the heartbeat on a sonogram, telling family and friends

worst: feeling chunky, spotting a lot

2nd:

best: finding out it's a girl!, DH feeling her kick, feeling really ready for this, DH talking to tummy!

worst: still feeling fat, not eating right, fear of not sleeping well in the future
post #19 of 20
1st trimester:
worst: food aversions, being worried
best: being pregnant!

2nd trimester:
worst: random aches and pains, not sleeping so hot
best: feeling baby move, actually starting to feel like this is really gonna happen...
First Trimester
Best:
Finding out and telling family! Talking with my DD about it. Choosing a m/w, BC and Doula
Worst: Heartburn, nausea, fatigue

Second Trimester
Best:
Feeling the baby move, having people ask me when I'm due, getting new maternity clothes, HypnoBirthing class
Worst: Fatigue, sciatica pain, round ligament pain, getting more uncomfortable at night
