We found out that we're having a girl, so the name stress is certainly relieved somewhat. Here's the thing: Before we ever had kids, Mike and I agreed on BooBah's name not necessarily for BooBah, but for a baby girl. We also came up with another name that we agreed on shortly before we got pregnant with BooBah, and decided that we would wait until we actually laid eyes on BooBah to decide which name she would get. She ended up with the first one because the first name was for Mike's grandmother, who passed away years ago, and BooBah bore a strong resemblance to her at birth (still does, really
). Her personality was also very reminiscent to Mike of his grandmother's (and mothers, and his-- again, it still is, what a love!
) so it was all good.
This time around, Mike is stuck on Girl Name #2. I'm okay with it, I don't dislike the name, but it has become less appealing to me as time went on, and I think that it's only fair to accord #3 the same courtesy that we accorded #2; to actually look at her before we make a final decision on her name. Mike doesn't even want to think about other girl names, though! Whaddaya think?
