Please help me find the perfect pattern

I have in mind exactly what kind of fitted I want to make, but I have yet to find a pattern that's close enough and I'm not at the point where I can make my own pattern. Maybe someone here can help me find my ideal pattern or one close enough that it would be simple to alter. (the pattern can be free or not...either is fine...but free is preferable of course! )

I want to make a pocket fitted. I want it to be side-snapping. I also want something that isn't serged. I like the look of the fern and fairy recycled diapers with the knit binding. It wouldn't have to be exactly like that...I mainly just want the edges to be more finished than serging and I'm not crazy about the ruffled look, but could deal with it. Has anyone seen a diaper like this or know of a pattern that is close to this? I can't seem to find one...it's making me wonder if the design I have in mind is a bad idea for some reason. Any help?

Its not free but I think the best one for you would be the VeryBaby one, It has side snap supplemental instructions I think.

www.darlingdiapers.com has a great pocket fitted pattern for side snap. I make them side aplix and I LOVE them. They are super trim, even stuffed with a Costco towel. And the pattern is idiot proof (my sewing them is proof of this).

Darling Diapers is the only pocket fitted pattern I know of, although any pattern can be used to make any type of diaper. I haven't used her diaper patterns, but have used her training pants pattern, and it's pretty easy to follow (with real pictures!), plus you get instant gratification of receiving it via e-mail within a day of ordering. They're also not real expensive ($8, I think for that one).

Also, you say you're not ready to do your own pattern, but several people (myself included) have started out by drafting our own before buying or using another one. It takes a few revisions to get it just right, but it can be very rewarding in getting the perfect fit for your baby. And it's really not hard to do at all! In the tutorial page, someone posted a url to the pattern drafting instructions. That's what I used, and I think the only mistake I made was that the butt wasn't wide enough when I did it. You might lay down a diaper you have that fits well and use that to help you make sure the butt is wide enough.

have you looked at the free fern and faerie fitted pocket diaper? I've messed around with that pattern a lot and made some modifications to come up with a side aplixing diaper off of it. You could easily put snaps on instead... I think it's under their links, diapering on the cheap.
