Wool Jersey by the Yard???

Where can I purchase wool jersey? Organic is great, but it doesn't have to be. I haven't been able to find it anywhere. I love my CuddleBunz wool jersey cover and I want to make some like it.

Only place you might get it cheaper is in a co-op, otherwise diapershop is the cheapsest ive seen around. i dont buy wool jersey but I still bet they are cheaper.

I got mine from Diaper Cuts . I don't know if they still have it on sale, but it was $10/yd when I bought it a couple weeks ago (though OSDS has free shipping right now, so that probably beats it).

One thing to note... This stuff can REALLY felt!!! I bought 2 yards (60" wide), and after 2 hot washes on heavy agitation, NO DRYING, it was about a yard of 44" wide. So very very thick. Agitation is what really felts it, so keep that in mind.

I want to make a diaper cover like the cuddlebunz wool jersey wrap with snaps.
it doesnt seem like that wool is felted. anyone know?
i am kind of bummed, we have only had that cover for a month, i love it, and one of the snaps popped off today. :

I've not seen this cover, but... Does the fabric look like cotton jersey? When I felted my wool jersey, it came out looking like a thick piece of fleece almost - you can't see the weave or any holes anymore. It started out looking like regular old jersey - you could see all the threads going every which way.

I imagine it would probably be at least felted *some*, but probably not as much as I felted mine.

Oh no. I'll bet if you e-mail the WAHM who made it, she'll replace the snap for you for free. That's pretty typical, from what I hear (replacing snaps, not snaps falling off - but that happens too!).

Can you use touchtape on wool jersey??
Or is there somewhere that will put snaps on for you?

Many WAHM's will apply snaps for you.
You can use touchtape on the wool jersey, but I think many women don't just for aesthetic reasons. I prefer snaps myself.
I will apply snaps for you if you like, you just have to mark on the dipe where you want them.
