I am a new CD'er who had her first night with a cloth diaper and it did not go over well. I expected as much because I have limited funds and so have nothing really suitable for nighttime. And so, I begin this poll so that I don't waste my money and time on something that doesn't work.

Except I've never posted a poll before, so I don't know how this works. So in case the poll doesn't show up, here are the seven options:
1. Fuzzi Bunz
2. Wonderoos
3. Wool cover over prefold or fitted
4. Fleece cover over prefold or fitted
5. PUL cover and LOTS of doublers
6. Just give up and use a disposable
7. Other

THis is what I do, and it works great, never any leaks

Prefold, micro terry cloth folded 3 times (you can buy these from the car wash section for 8 for $5) and a wool soaker (I use aristocrats) The micro terry really absorbs the pee and keeps it away from baby's skin. I usually change the diaper right before bedtime then as soon as he gets up in the morning. The wool is nice because it absorbs the pee as well, waterproof. and doesn't smell. Just air dry and you're good to go. But you have to lanolize the wool first.

I just wash my wool with baby shampoo (every 2-3 weeks or when they get soiled with bm) I use Lansinoh (nipple cream) to lanolize it.

My absolute favorite nighttime combo is a Disposonaut Nights Pocket fitted with an Aristocrat Wool Soaker.

My DD is a very heavy wetter and poops first thing in the morning every morning and that combo can take whatever she throws at it! Plus I love the fit and that the fleece rolls in at the legs so no morning red marks!

I use a hemp pocket fitted with a wool cover.

Fuzzi Bunz has never failed us at night, with CottonBabies inserts or prefolds. I also like fitteds with wool, usually adding a fleece layer for a drier bottom: tonight I'm using a UTN fitted plus a fleece-topped hemp doubler (from SugarPlumBaby), with an Aristocrats on top. That's plenty for my not-especially-heavy wetter. HTH!

3. Wool cover over prefold or fitted

I use a premium prefold with a hemp doubler and fleece liner. Topped with my Aristocrat it's perfect! I'm always sad when the Aristocrat has to be washed and I have to use another wool cover or PUL at night.

premium prefold with infant prefold trifolded all topped with longies or a soaker. The diapers are usually SOAKED but never leak through the wool.

We use 2 prefolds and a wool cover or a bummis whisper pant.

we got lucky and the first thing we tried worked wonders....we use a little lambs one size aio and haven't had a leak yet! i don't add anything extra to it, just the soaker it comes with and we're good which is nice b/c then i don't feel like i'm putting my little guys back in odd positions b/c of all the bulk hth

I alternate between Nightlights (FCB) and SimplyNights (Very Baby) with a wool cover over it. Never had a leak!

We use a microfiber towel inside a trifolded CPF inside a Bummi SWW.

We use either a premium prefold with a hemp double or a snappi fitted with a hemp doubler. Either is lined with a fleece liner and topped with an aristocrat.

What are you all doing online on Christmas? I guess I'm not the only person with boring holiday plans!

Actually, this is how I spend my time when I'm nursing....

We use a snap-ez cotton pocket (fleece or suedecloth lined) stuffed with a snap-ez nighttime insert under his fuzbomb or his loveybums wool interlock wool covers.

Before we started using wool (from the time he was born until he was about five months old), we would use a fuzzi bunz at night stuffed with three joeybunz.

We've never had a leak with either system

I voted wool cover, on the condition there's a beefy hemp or organic velour fitted under it.

Def a wool cover and a pocket fitted here

I voted wool cover and "other", with that other being a hemp/sherpa fitted I made with velour-topped hemp soaker, plus a velour/hemp tri-fold as a doubler, and sometimes I had a Joey Bunz in there too. This combo typically works wonders, especially under wool (right now, a Sugarpeas wool flannel cover). I only have 2 hemp fitteds right now, but plan to make more very soon because they're so trim and absorbant!!! If I don't have one washed, I have to use multiple prefolds, and it gets too bulky, even with the bikini twist.

We used to use FBs, but he started out-peeing them at night a couple months ago. But for a long time, those worked great with just 2 inserts!

Our fail proof combo is a nightly newt (hemp prefold) trifolded inside a large fleece/suedecloth diaper. We also really like hemp and microfiber inside FB.
