Merry Christmas to y'all too.

My ds got a really cheapo digital camera. I was tired of having him use mine and fill up the card with really exciting pictures of my butt and the computer screen.

Dd#1 got the Leapfrog fridge letters and numbers magnets. It's really nifty. You insert the letter/number and it sings a little song with the letter's name and phonetic sounds. And all the pieces are magnetic, so it all stays stuck to the fridge.

Dd#2 got a set of Baby Einstein puppets. She was so excited. The kids want to use them to put on a puppet show for me tomorrow.

I got the Managers of Their Homes book I'd been wanting. I have got to get my act together if we are going to make it homeschooling with 4 kids in the house.

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it!

And Happy Chanukkah to those who celebrate that!

( I truthfully have no idea when Kwanzaa begins - but Happy Kwanzaa as well!)

My mom bought us a digital video camera (TOTAL grandma present! ); my dad and stepmom gave us a changing pad cover, a "SwaddleMe"(which may go back because I hate the feel of it), a pack of receiving blankets and $600 (woohoo!!! ), my sister got the baby Where the Sidewalk Ends and The Rainbow Goblins, and got us the Lego Durmstrang ship (Harry Potter). DH got me some jammies and a bib that says "I Mommy" and I got him the Scene It DVD game, and a little romper/sleeper that says "Daddy's Girl" on it. We had a good Christmas! My mom comes in tomorrow for Chanukkah...

I got a couple more sleeper/romper things for the baby. And some baby socks too. So the baby got most of the presents this year!!

My SIL got me some super yummy smelling belly butter...called Belly Bliss, by Blooming Body - looke really nice.

Hope everyone has been having nice holiday celebrations.

Oh, and Kwanzaa starts today.

The kids got a bunch of cool stuff and had a blast opening it all. DD's fave gifts were her art table and chair set, and a little bike. DSS's fave gifts were a big Magnetix set and a dart board.

Funny, we didn't get one gift for the new baby this time. Not that I care, but I did notice, especially considering how many gifts we got for DD when I was pg with her two Christmases ago. DD was my parents' first grandchild, so they totally focused on her while I was pg... and now they are still focused on her even though I'm pg again! It all changes after the first one!

Adina, I don't like the feel of the SwaddleMe either. I have a miracle blanket that I LOVE. I got it when DD was older because she was busting out of the little baby blankets (she slept swaddled for months and months and months), but I plan to use it with the new baby from the start (assuming he likes to be swaddled... I suppose we'll have to see). It's SUPER soft, like a nice t-shirt, and seems like it would be less hot than the SwaddleMe (isn't it microfleece?).

Anyway, I'm looking forward to doing nothing today. We've had several days of lots of activities and social gatherings, so I'm all about chillin'. Let's hope the kids cooperate.

Yeah - the SwaddleMe is microfleece...and so plasticy it is nearly squeaky. I have touch issues around fleece...especially if my hands are dry...{shudder} I will check out the Miracle Blanket.

Today, I get to take my sis to spend her gift card at the book store, take her to the airport, come home, do a load or two of laundry, vacuum, straighten up, go BACK to the airport to pick up my mom, and then figure out what the hell to do for dinner.

Should be fun.

Okay, off to order a Miracle Blanket
Dh is so gonna kill me - I just ordered an Amby Bed for the new baby. :

My girls got waaaaaay too much stuff, but it wouldn't have been so bad if they didn't both celebrate birthdays in the past month! They got a bunch of wooden animals & trees, a gigantic pirate ship & dock (honestly I'm thinking of returning the dock cuz it makes the whole set too big), a raft w/pirates & a seagull, a rocking boat, some mermaids, a mermaid costume (you can see my little one wearing it in the pirate ship picture along with a fairy skirt they both got too), some herbal scented bean bags, books, silk wings, some gnomes (they're real cute), a wooden gnome house, a sweet pea baby doll (which is a 4lb weighted doll), a doll family (small - maybe 4-6" each), and some other stuff I'm sure. I dunno - too much!

I got about 5 or 6 birth books I had wanted, 2 didymos wraps (they're identical - need to return one), a tempurpedic pillow, a couple dvds & cds, and this necklace from dh which made me weepy! Mine is in silver (which I love) and has 3 pearls, one for each child plus our new baby.

Overall it was a good day. Overdid it on the sweets but I'll live.

Happy holidays to you all too!

how could it have been a bad day, reguardless of what anyone recieved it was just a blessed day!!!

I got two bathrobes!! my husband didnt communicate with my parents, oh well i can go take one back and use the money on myself for exactly what i want which i look foward too.

baby to be got a few things, it was fun including him in the day and stoping and picturing him actually using the things.

we got all the kiddos scooters so today was a great after christmas day where we went to the park and let them scooter around forever and then out for an ice cream cone. i wish husbands didnt have to go back to work!!! i like them being around.

Merry Christmas and Happy new year!!

Happy Holidays everyone!

We had a nice day here; too busy, though...running around everywhere!

DD got a play kitchen, which she LOVES and a play baking set. And a train set, which she is pretty ambivalent about at this point. She also got some herbal scented bean bags, and a new Dan Zanes cd, and a Clifford DVD. And some other stuff from family, she did pretty well!

DH got me a digital camera! Wahoo! So maybe I'll be posting to the belly thread soon...

We had a good Christmas here, busy though!
The kids got too much stuff, didn't get anything for the new baby, guess that happens when you already have 2

My DD who is 10 got tickets to see Hilary Duff and she was SOOOO excited. We thought she was going to pass out! LOL
My DS (who is going to be 4 in Jan.) got an NHL puff for his bed, he liked it but was quick to point out that he didn't "ask" for it. Too funny.

They got a bunch of other stuff as well, but not from us. We only get them 3 gifts and Santa brings one. My MIL buys them way too much stuff and my parents get them a $100 savings bond. So they fair ok even without us spending too much!

I am excited for this week-end, other than just New Years Eve it is DH and mine's 10th anniversary!! We are going away with close friends for the week-end. Should be fun!! I just need to find a maternity bathing suit since the hotel has a pool, hubby says I should just wear a bikini but that is NOT going to happen! LOL

Have a great New Years everyone!!

Oh, you should! The only time I'll be caught dead in a bikini is when I'm pregnant cuz then I'm supposed to have that belly down there! Enjoy it!
