Since it's my first pregnancy, i'm full of questions, but none of my friends or family have been pregnant since 1985. I'm curious which products, thought processes or activities are keeping you sane and comfortable and keep you from feeling sick or worried. For instance...
*reading (rereading old favorites, actually) takes my mind off worrying, especially sweeping historical novels that just whisk me away to a different time and world, like Jean Auel and Diana Gabaldon and Sara Donati.
*smelling orange and lemon scents keeps me from feeling sick. I'm loving Demeter's Pink Lemonade and my EO Sweet Orange conditioner.
*plain old honey graham crackers are holding nausea at bay.
*cooking big batches of vegetable soups is keeping the fridge and freezer stocked with healthy veggies in the only form i'll really eat them.
*my usual 2 inch heels were making my legs cramp and feet hurt, so I bought a pair of wooly White Mountain clogs. I'm not a clog or wooly girl, nor do I generally spend more than $20 on shoes, but they are now my traveling safety blanket.
*when I am having twingy cramps, I hold my tum, lay on my side if possible and sing in my head, mostly Mary Magdalene's song from Jesus Christ Superstar.
What's helping you?
