I have been having strange, deep cramps for the last two week. They made me think I couldn't be pregnant b/c AF was on her way. I am still having them, though not quite as frequently. They go from uncomfortable to painful, but never terrible painful. I read that this is normal, but I'm still feeling a little weird about it. SIL told me that it is a good pain b/c it is a sign of deep implanting. It is still very strange to me though. Anybody else having these?

Do you remember it with your last babies?
I'm 5w now and the cramping subsided about 5 days ago (?) - I noticed with this being #3 it didn't freak me out as much, but it was pretty deeply achy. If you have bleeding with them, then I'd worry, but implantation goes through week 4 (supposedly) so it sounds pretty normal.
If you put something warm (a warm water bottle or rice sock) on your uterus when you get the cramping, that may help the ache. Hope that helps some...

Hi Julie-Thanks for responding. I'm not really worried, just noticing it, kwim? I don't remember having it with either of the other pregnancies. I guess it would make sense that it's implantation since I'm 4 weeks today (!). It actually hasn't been bad today-the only time I noticed it was when I was running and even then it was mild compared to a few days ago.

Sounds like implantation.
I also started getting more cramping again today (5w+) and it's a first for me too - just in case that comes back for you at 5w+.
Wishing you well Paige!

I have also been having cramps. Mine started about a week before AF was due, so I also thought I might be pregnant since it was too early for AF cramps. I will be at four weeks on Thurs., and sometimes the cramping is very mild throughout most of the day, and then at other times I feel a very strong cramp that comes and goes pretty quickly. Sounds like we are all in the same boat!

mommy9606-that is exactly how I have been feeling. It's comforting to know I'm not alone in this feeling. Now that I know it's implantation, it kind of makes me smile when I feel it, kwim? Is this your first baby?

I like reading these things because I have been so worried this whole pregnancy (all 5+ weeks of it!) I had cramping, pretty bad at times, which I never had with DS and that freaked me out - and then when it stopped, about a week ago, that got me all worried too! It's nice to read others have felt this and that it does go away - and that it probably means lil baby is all snug and tight in there!
Has anyone noticed changes in their breasts? Mine were absolutely tender to the touch until about a week ago - now I just have sort of a dull ache - is that normal too?? Nothing is the same as it was for DS (maybe that means its a girl!!)

HomeBirthMommy-I agree that it is comforting to know that many of us are feeling the same way. Yes, this will be my first baby. Second pregnancy, though. I had a miscarriage last October which was difficult, but we decided to wait just one cycle before starting to try again. Then I got pregnant right away!
WanderLost-I was actually getting on here right now to post the same question about breast tenderness! I will be at 4 weeks tomorrow, and for almost the last week (up until last night when I went to bed) my breasts were sore. Then this morning when I woke up the soreness was gone completely. That sort of freaked me out, but I've been reading on other sites that breast tenderness can come and go. Has anyone else experienced that for this or other pregnancies?

I've had cramping and twinging here and there too. I remember this very well from my last pregnancy because I was constantly running to the bathroom SURE that AF was there. I'm 5 weeks today and it has started to go away.
wanderlost - my breasts have just started to get a little sore. They aren't really tender or achey but I'm really aware of them if that makes any sense at all.
But omg the BLOAT is here with a vengenance!! Is anyone else ridiculously bloated after eating?

Yes, I have been SO bloated! I am four weeks, and yesterday I went to a movie right after eating lunch. While sitting in the movie I had to unbutten and unzip my jeans because I was so uncomfortably bloated! (Before lunch the jeans fit just fine).

Yep, my breasts are on/off sore, but I've also had "full" feelings and tingling in them, almost like a let down feeling.
Mommy9606, my first pregnancy was a miscarriage and we got pregnant with dd right away after that (against dr.'s orders). I had trouble not wanting to "attach" to that pregnancy after the loss, but as it went on everything was fine. I now have a beautiful 6 year old.
I'm not having the bloating, but oh, the gas and heartburn.
I had my first brush with nausea this morning too.

HomeBirthMommy-My Dr. told us to wait at least two cycles after the miscarriage, but from what I read I decided waiting one cycle would be just fine. Thank you for your words of encouragement. I'm glad to hear that you went on to have a healthy baby for your second pregnancy, and continued to have healthy pregnancies after that, too! From the day I found out I was pregnant last time I just knew things weren't right. There were some complications going on, and even though the dr. assured me that things were fine, I just knew they weren't. I didn't allow myself to get too attached to the last pregnacy, and I was afraid it would be difficult to this time, as well, because of what happened last time. However, I'm feeling really positive and excited. This time it just feels right, so although I was hoping last time that my intuition would be wrong, for this pregnancy I'm hoping it's right!

I felt cramping too. I get it once in awhile, but not too bad.
My bb's haven't felt really sore either. They are a bit tender, but I remember with Kalynn, they were SO sore that nothing could touch them.

My period was due last Wednesday, and I tested positive the Monday right before. Starting about Tuesday I had light cramping that continued until about Thursday.
It seems to have stopped.
The last two nights I noticed my stomach muscles getting "pulled" easily if he jumped out of bed.
And then today I had a really awful cramp that freaked me out and then....I just had to go to the bathroom *LOL*

Last night the cramping became really bad and quite painful, then I realized it was gas.

I've had some mild cramping on and off. Different from AF though. More on the sides, where AF is usually more central. The first time I noticed it I freaked and immediately thought, Oh no! Appendicitis or ectopic pg! But then it switched sides. Of course, if it were either of those things, I imagine it would have been much more than mild cramps...
As for boobs...they are so sore! DH is a total boob guy, so he thinks I'm making it up so he won't be allowed to touch them, which, unfortunately, means that he keeps springing out and grabbing them when I'm not paying attention, which really hurts. I guess there really is an upside to him driving a truck and only being home on the weekends...
