Fertile cm when af is due?

I could very much use some insight. I have been charting for two months and the cycles are very similar. According to my chart, and tcoyf, I o'd this month on cd15. My temperature shift confirms this, and I observed fertile quality cm at that time also.

Af is 1 day late, and I observed ewcm tonight also. I'm confused. Everytime I think I've got an idea what I'm doing, something weird happens.

EWM-like secretions can sometimes indicate that you are forming a mucous plug if you are pg. :-) I got that with dd. Also cm was thick and yellowish with a musky smell, and then had 'strips" of EWM type cm mixed in. I asked my doctor about this at the first visit and he said those were all normal for pregnancy.

On the other hand it can also indicate a mild yeast infection. I don't check my cm very often anymore (use OPK's instead) because it doesn't matter how often I wash my hands, I will get a YI if I check myself too often. With dd, I had YI all the time for part of our ttc period and after I stopped checking they went away.

I've never had a YI, but I have no discomfort with this. My cervix is as closed as I've ever felt.

Nothing for it but to wait and see I guess. Did I mention I'm terrible at that?

It is very normal, merely and indication that your corpus luteum has disintegrated. Is not to be confused with fertile-quality cervcal fluid. By definition, if it comes out just before your period and after you have established that you are in your ingertile phase, then you are indeed not fertile on that day.

it's hormones changing for one reason or another.

I often notice what I call snotty cm just before af, it's thicker than fertile ewcm, but still can be characterized as (mostly) clear and stretchy.

Exactly! And I got my answer: af showed up today!
