Yesterday I:

- typed up a list of all phone numbers for hospital
- went to two babystores across town from each other and waited in line forever for co-sleeper
- cleaned son's room and organized christmas toys
- 4 loads of laundry and put away
- reaarranged my bedroom and den
- cleaned basement
- cleaned out kitchen cabinets and frig
- ordered present for my sister-in-law
- made cards for some friends
- packed hospital bags and a bag for my son
- made dinner
- got prepaid cell phone charged up

Crazy!!

Whoa, you have been busy! I'm right there with ya! I must get these Christmas decorations put away today if it's the last thing I do!

There must have been something in the air yesterday, I was a cleaning maniac. I even made the beds, which is never done in this household!! I also scrubbed the kitchen, including the stove top, underneath the stove top, all the drip pans, and the microwave. Did all the dishes in the house, and all the laundry I could find. Rearranged the linen closet too. Then my pubic bone started hurting so bad I had to stop, but last night I finished it off by scrubbing the toilets and sinks down!! Now the house is clean, so the baby needs to come!!!

Gosh, I am getting the nesting urge too! I never really did with the other pg. Or maybe it is because I was always getting ready before and this time, I don't want the baby stuff crowding the rest of us until we need to. Anyways, I have some major organization projects that really need to get done and I actually made a really good dent today. Would have done even better if it weren't for all the interruptions!

I am in serious nesting mode -- I just put away all of the holiday decorations, broke out the baby stuff we will need in the first week, organized all of the homebirth supplies and am now washing my carseat cover, babycarriers, etc. I'm having some contractions but I always get that when I run around so I don't know if this is a sign the baby is emminent or not. I'm not due for 2 weeks. I am also ready to freak out at DH for his reluctance to realize this baby will be here soon! I want stuff done NOW.

I'm in the same place I was at the last time we all talked about nesting....I have the desire, but not the energy This messy house is making me crazy, but I can only clean in 30 minute intervals before I just have to sit down. Of course, the whole time I sit down my toddlers destroy all the cleaning I did in the previous 30 minutes! I'm sure I'll get the burst of nesting energy sometime in the next couple of weeks, but I want it now!

I've been nesting now for 2 weeks! Its getting slightly annoying though, since all this nesting does nothing but hurt my back. (I have a toddler too..)

My nesting has come in spurts. Right now, I'm not in one. After the new year though, I'll do my monthly deep clean, and we'll have a new budget, so I can get food to make and freeze more stuff... we've gotten a few more gifts (of cash ), so I'm getting the final baby supplies, but most of the clothes are washed and ready to go. I need to get over to xstmil (heh), and wash the rest of the diapers. After that, oh, and reorganizing the closets, I'll be ready 100% for this baby. Oh, and the birth pool... which I'm waiting on a couple of early Jan moms to have their babies before I can get it... arg!

It's definitely in the air gals! How did I spend my New Year's Eve 2005? DH and I installed a closet organizer in the baby's closet, washed the last of the baby linens and clothes, set up the crip, monitor, organized the change table, hung up all of the clothes, put everything else away in the closet, cleaned and tidied. All that the nursery needs now are some blinds, toppers hung up and a BABY! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! How fast 40 weeks can go...

Yesterday I went from nesting to full-on meltdown mode. I have a toddler, so I feel that I can never really get anything done during the week, and when my husband is home on the weekend, I just want to relax with him and dd. So we don't have much of anything ready at this point. My poor ds isn't even born and he's already suffering second-child syndrome . . .

I know it's mostly hormones, because all I really need are some diapers, a couple changes of clothes, and breasts, but I really want everything to be "just right" for the new baby. And apparently that includes organizing everyone's closet, cleaning out the pantry, wiping all the baseboards, rearranging the office. . .

I also spent my NYE vacuuming the baseboards, cleaning the kitchen and bathroom and rearranging the bedroom furniture. It actually brought on a bunch of contractions and some movement in the right direction.

I spent New Year's Eve vacuuming and washing my floors. I spent today cleaning my bathrooms (again). Talk about exciting!

Last pregnancy I really wanted to become one of those women that when nesting decide to clean their molding with a toothbrush- instead I was wonder-slob with an addiction to teeny blue baby clothing. Now I wander around the house late at night, cleaning, cleaning, folding newborn diapers, and obsessing over where to put my dining room chairs (can't fit them in the dining room with the birthtub). When will this end??

I'm trying to decide if I'll go into labor once the very last organizing and cleaning project is finished, or when I give up completely and my house becomes the quagmire. It'll probably be whatever I do last, kinda like you always find your keys in the last place you look.
