Melted Wax removal

I spilled hot wax on my jeans and I don't know how to get it off. Any suggestions? Will it come off in a normal wash?

Try ironing the spot through a brown paper bag. The paper should absorb the melted wax.

Yep, chill the wax with an ice cube and scrape off whatever you can. Then do the iron/brown paper bag trick (jeans sandwiched between the 2 bags so you don't get wax on the iron or board.

Does this method work for melted crayon on clothing too?
A red crayon made it in to the dryer with a load of clothing.
(Note to self:check pockets carefully!)
Thanks,
Pam

I imagine it would work quite well, as long as the clothing can handle the heat of an iron. But if it can't, it's probably a piece of doomed clothing regardless.
