Breast feeding and pregnancy tests????

I was not sure where to post this. But I am thinking I might (BIG might! ) be pregnat. So I was going to do a EPT and got to thinking, before I spend the money on this thing, "Will it work" I have yet to get pregnant while I was still nursing. So I am not sure how "right on" they are when you are nursing. You know with the hormones and all.

ALSO!!! I haven't got a period yet! ds#2 is almost 16 months old! With the other two I had one about the time they where a year old. WEIRD!

I guess that is all!

The hormones secreted from nursing will not effect your preg. test. hcG (HgC?) whatever, is only there when a little baby is inside growing.

I was still nursing DD1 at 14 months when I had a positive test for DD2. AF came back at 12 months for her. DD2 is 19 months old and no sign of AF. I took a EPT a few weeks ago and it was negative.

Are you doing a lot of night nursing? That could make a difference in your period not returning yet. I'm thinking that is why mine has not returned yet either - DD2 nurses a lot more at night than DD1 did.

Good luck on your test.
