*siiiigh* I wish I could go hide today or be somehwhere there won't be any fireworks. ONe of my most dreaded holidays is New Years and the noisy Fireworks adn everyone setting off the small noisy ones for weeks before and after it as well.

Baby is great, stretching and moving about, sometimes all day, sometimes jus ta couple of times. She is definitely running out of room in there, and only 2 more months to go.. Time is flying so slowly fast.

Hope y'all are doing well.

Random idea....

Do you think we could have a "TTC" section on the UC list?

I have not had a UC, I am not pregnant....yet but this is where I belong.

To me it is a mind set and a way of living.....not just during pregnancy and the birth.

I do not know if that make sense, but I thought I would add my 2 cents

Thanks

: Sending love to all who are in their babymoon, will be birthing soon, and who are expecting.....You are in my thoughts often

ohh heavy sighs for you yvonne!
I hear ya- I never knew people did fireworks for newyears. I guess I was born in a box.
Last night was a bit noisy at our house. Oh well.
So baby is doing laps in my belly, too! 2 months away! How time flies!
I am so ready to labor again (twisted huh?) It's almost like Christmas! I can't wait to push!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think its better than chocolate actually- or its equivalent .
hee hee
lots of love to you all!

Haven't been around in ages. Changed my username (me and my dds are all brown eyed!) but you may remember I posted my last UC baby's birth video (oops, boy did THAT get a lot of hits) last February.

I'm planning my 3rd UP/UC birth in late Spring. Would you like to add me to your due date list?

My first UC was Aug 2001, I went to 41+ weeks, and he was 10 lbs with a nuchal hand, born on my bed as I leaned over the birth ball. My second UC was Dec 2003, 39+ weeks, I only labored 1 hour 45 min and had a water birth and she had the cord wrapped around her neck and body about 4 times. They were both lovely births and I look forward to another one this Spring. I've never had a Spring baby, this is a totally new experience for me.

sorry for the double post. for some reason the window was still there like I'd never pressed "submit" so I pressed it again.

Amy, DreamsInDigital had her baby -- http://www.mothering.com/discussions...47#post4243147

It sounds like she was not planning UC after all?

Me too! I LOVE labor, really! Pushing was hard last time but now that I've been seeing a chiro for over a year and will see one a couple times in the next few months I am sure it will go easier. I also have been paying attention to how much I recline or laze about on my butt... try to do things to help keep baby and my back & hips in a good position for birth, so hopefully this time it won't take 8 hours to push baby out! Heheheh.

Already having bloody show off and on, so I am betting dilation is already happening. I've been having contractions off and on too. The ones that take my breath away and I have to stop for a bit and breathe. I remember getting that last time too.. thought they were just BH contrax, but i guess those aren't supposed to do that?

Ah well, don't matter, baby is gonna stay in there and cook until she is done anyway. I keep asking her to stay in there at least 6 more weeks so I can get our nest ready, tee hee. And I'd prefer at least 8.5 more weeks so I can go to the Depeche Mode concert we have tix for.

I was confused about that, too. I know for a quick moment she was planning on going to the hospital to get induced.

Oh, Yvonne & Amy, I so love to hear about your sweet babies! Ooh, I just can't wait until you're ripe and get to post about your births! Oooh! How exciting!!!!

AngelBee -- I think that's a GREAT idea to add a TTC group to UC. Wishing you sweet and easy conception and a happy healthy baby to bring into the world.

Baby Joie is doing so well here. Sometimes I just look at her and marvel that she was the little one inside of me for those 9 months.

I am just SO SO SO grateful for this forum. I can not tell you what strength and peace you all gave me during such a bumpy pregnancy ride. Thank you so much, women!

Wow Yvonne- I am right there with you. I notices some dark staining on my panties and figured it was nothing- but maybe it is a little show- and YES cervical ripening is happening. I feel a achy twinge deep inside with certain flexes. We are sooooooooo close!
Any Bets anyone????
I'm leaning towards March 14th- full moon, DH thinks its Mar 17 (Irish baby!)
I forgot how the home stretch feels literally!

I love reading Sydney's birth story.. over and over, lol.. think i've read it 3 times this past year.. LOL. I like the ending of the OB saying You need to attend your appoints so that we can make sure the baby is still there.. BWAHAHAHAHAAH!
hi, ladies! just wanted to check in real quick

this being the first month of the new year, i've decided to do some MAJOR nesting around the house. i'm feeling good, lots of energy, so i think now is the time to get it done while i'm still comfortable enough to handle the job!

baby's moving around constantly now, loving it's water world. i already feel so empowered this time around. no more stressing about fitting someone else's idea of a "normal" pregnancy. just living my life, growing my baby, and enjoying every minute of it.

off to go clean some more. sending good labor vibes to the mamas due this month!

We're planning a UC, too!

I was due 12/30 so I am now 3 days past that and feeling really ready to meet this baby! I thought I was going to do it for sure yesterday, ctx started overnight, building to 5-6 minutes apart for a couple hours. Then 2 1/2 yo DS woke up and they pretty much stopped. But on the bright side, I did get a pretty good night's sleep last night, which I'll need once things get started!

I usually do go past dates, though... #1 was 10d late and #2 was 14d late and born in the caul with plenty of clear amniotic fluid and a still very nice looking placenta... so I know my body can support a baby well past my EDD, but I am so excited to meet this baby that I am done waiting... I really can't complain, sure my hips ache, my feet are swollen, and I have the bladder capacity of a chihuahua, but otherwise this pregnancy has actually been easier then my first two!

We are SO ready for the baby to come! The birth pool is inflated and ready to fill (its not real big, so we were just going to wait till I am in labor to fill it), all the dipes and clothes are washed and ready to wear, my birthkit is ready with all the homeopathics and tinctures I'll need, and the fridge is full! I may make some enchiladas for the freezer later, but otherwise I am at a loss for anything else that needs to be done!

Come on, baby! Please send me some labor vibes! Patience is not one of my virtues
post #15 of 102
Hi! New here & planning another UC. I had my first UC in June 1994 (2nd birth), another in april 1997 (posterior in the caul huge headed 9 1/2 pds 1 week late baby LOL), another july 2002 (we delivered her early w/herbs @ 37 weeks due to membranes being ruptured for days, meconium in water & decreased movement. she was tiny, 6 1/2 pds, but my most painful birth!). We had an unassisited delivery in the 2nd trimester 2 yrs ago (though I transfered due to near fatal hemorrhage, I somehow was clueless that could happen at 20 weeks.). We are now expecting again in july & of course will have another UC.

Hee hee- yvonne- I read it so many many times myself. it was a blast!
Welcome all! Baby vibes are coming your way- I've added you new mamas to the list- please PM me if I should edit anything for you.
lots of love and vibes!

I'm new here as well. I've had two hospital births and am now seeing a midwife for some prenatal care (would be at a 2 week schedule now but haven't seen her in almost a month) I have been hoping for a UC since I found unassisistedchildbirth.com. I am due 2/10/06 and am really looking forward to having this baby.
Claire, I am soooooooooooo glad to see you here! Sorry I have been MIA. I was spotting for a few weeks and staying down. I'll PM you soon.

XM, I think of you often. Sending beautiful labor vibes your way.

I am doing well. 10 weeks here. I spotted weeks 6-9 and felt much fear and hopelessness. (I have miscarried twice in the last 12 months.) Doing better now. Super sick like I always am so I take some comfort in that. I am very excited to meet this little one.

Jumping in!

OK, it's time I make my first post in this thread!

I'm...umm, about 6 (?)weeks... due sometime in September (well, according to due date calculators it's more like late August, but gut feeling and experience tell us September is the month ) and we are planning our second homebirth, first freebirth

I'm still looking for an OB or CNM who will see me for prenatals in a laid-back manner (no internals, minimal ultrasounds, no problem with my birth choice, skipping that nasty syrup for the GD test) Any advice on finding a good care provider ? We're not not up for an unassisted pregnancy since DH needs the reassurance that prenatals provide so he can feel comfortable with the UC.

I'm so excited to have a UC, I wanted it the first time around but DH was too nervous, so I'm really happy to be on this thread now!

Unfortunately, it's been like uhm... 18 years since I lived in Illinois so i can't help with looking for someone liek that.. i bet a cnm or midwife type would be better at accepting your plans than an OB.

Our son is an almost winter solstice surprise dec 22nd.. due date was sep 15, and he arrived sep 8th. and he's such a great guy!
