I'm ashamed to admit i'm hooked on some cable 'reality' shows lately. But I think I have to stop...
On TLC's 'A Baby Story' an OB just explained to the camera that she's inducing twins at 33 weeks "because it seemed right"...babies were growing fine, no problems...must've been a great time for her schedule. Mom pushed them out on her back, of course, like in every other episode i've seen.
My favorite, though, was the doctor who complimented a completely numb mom on her "nice, civilized birth...no yelling or screaming." Unbelievable!
Guess this really is the sad state of mainstream birthing in this country.
Sorry, 38 weeks, hormonal and praying for a natural VBAC. Home birth isn't an option; guess I'm getting a little nervous about the hospital experience.
Anyone else in the same boat?

) but I wanted to lend some support. Be good to yourself mama, and stop watching that show! It's no good! Never did anything but scare the crap outta me. I'm preparring for a VBAC in April, and we have enough challenges.

and I did indeed kick her in the chest, across the room. She looked horrified and upset and appologized many, many times. I was there for 4 days with my son and everytime she saw me, she'd go out of her way to appologize. I appologized to her too...See, I'm not a fan of having my girly bits injured
