This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Me too
Yup, I'm a first timer (my first pregnancy -- my fingers are crossed for you this time, mommy9606). I thought I knew what to expect (ha!) but I'm already surprised with the way my body's feeling. Cramping? Gas? My boobs feeling like two large bruises? Having to pee every 30 seconds? I had no idea it would be this wacky this early. Glad to hear (from some of the other threads) I'm not alone.- mommy9606

Hi Mimi37! Yes, I feel the same! I'm very gassy and bloated. By the end of the day my jeans feel so tight. I can barely cuddle with my husband on the couch anymore, because if he accidently bumps me the wrong way my boobs hurt so bad. Good way to describe it...like two big bruises! Yep, I have the peeing problem as well. Not that I'm complaining, though. All the symptoms give me the reassurance that everything is okay!
Well worth it, but yes, surprising that it all starts happening so early...

Congratulations, mommy! Sending you lots of sticky thoughts...
I'm totally with you ladies about the boobs. Ouch! Especially first thing in the morning.

Congratulations Mommy 9606! I'm a first time mommy (to be
) too. I have hardly any symptoms though, only my breasts are a bit tender when I touch them and they have actually grown somewhat already.

Yup, first time momma-to-be here also. I was trying to explain my boobs to DH the other night (Mr. "they never hurt before!") and I came up with the bruise explination too! Actually, they're not too bad, but I've got some pretty small ones so I bet that helps.
I'm super excited to be here! I feel like I've been waiting for the past 20 years (I'm 22) to get pg and it finally happened
Oh my, and I am so much more tired than I thought I would be! I could go for a 3-hour nap every single day!

me too!
I am a first timer with an EDD of 9/21. It sounds like I have the same symptoms you all have -- sore (and growing) boobs and fatigue.

Another first timer here
I haven't had a whole lot of symptoms. My boobs are just a teensy bit sore (when I pound on them I can tell
), I felt really nauseas a total of 4 times so far, I am incredibly thirsty a lot, and I pee like crazy. Not to mention how exhausted I have been.
But I also had spotting over the weekend (
) so I'm hoping everything is going to be okay.
Good to know there are other mamas who are expecting #1!!!

I thought I would feel so excited and happy all the time, but instead I feel like I have to fart, pee, or puke. Ugh. Thankfully I haven't actually thrown-up but the nausea is just ever present and I think it making me depressed.
We've already told our very close friends (because we are with them so much and I am totally not myself) but we haven't told DH's family yet - although his mom will be SO excited. I'm just afraid that if something went wrong, she'd be too much for me to handle.
