Bloody Show!

I woke up to lots of bloody mucus this morning! I'm very excited because this is my first sign that my body is getting ready to have this baby other than BH contrax. I still have 4 weeks to go until my EDD and I have no other labor-ish symptoms so I wouldn't be surprised if I went another 6 weeks, but I'm still happy that things are at least starting to get moving.

Hollin, whoo, whoo! My mw says that bloody show is an indicator that things are getting serious. I suspect you don't have another four weeks to go. But, maybe so. Keep us posted!

Yeah, things have to be dialated enough that the mucous plug has come out. That won't happen weeks in advance, more like a day in advance max, right?

Some mamas lose it a few hours or a few days before labor starts, others can lose it weeks ahead! So its not a real reliable indicator of exactly when you will go, but its definitely an exciting sign that your body is getting there!

Yay! It's so exciting when our bodies start giving us tangible signs that things may soon be on their way.

Bloody show is a good sign that labor isn't weeks away, but days at best Here's to a joyful rest of your pregnancy and a wonderful birth

Well, after the initial big glob this morning I've been having brown-pink discharge all day. I have an appt. with the doctor tomorrow and I'm so curious I may have to submit to an internal exam. We'll see. I kind of hope that you guys are right and this is a sign that my baby is ready to be born soon. I'm getting anxious to meet him!

GRRRRRRR!!!

I am jealous, I'll admit it. I'm due the same day. I have yet to even have a BH contraction. I have NO signs of anything happening besides constantly peeing my pants.

Baby hasn't dropped, my ribs are still sore, I'm getting hiccups in my crotch all the time and I finally got everything almost ready.

Oh well, my time will come, DH and I are very ready to meet our first little one and to move forward.

Very exciting! At the end I think we will take any sign that labor will be soon! I know mucus is the least reliable of all signs......but it's still a sign! BTW I never had bloody show without a baby soon after. Regular mucus, weeks before baby, but blood for me always meant a baby was soon to follow.

Still here an no baby yet. I've still been having brown discharge and lots of contractions. Last night I thought the contrax were getting serious, like I couldn't talk through them anymore. They petered off eventually though. I have an appointment today so maybe I'll be able to find out more then.
