Had a 7 hr labor with DS, hospital birth, no drugs, huge tear, I know this one will go smoother - I really trust my midwife! I do hope that it is at least 7 hrs though - midwife is about an hour away. We will be prepared for unassisted!

Special notes: Both of my babies have arrived "late" so I anticipate that again (DS was 12 days, DD was 2 days past due date). DSs labor was 40 hours and then a c-section. DDs labor was 30 hours unmedicated, so I'm hoping for about half that this time. I so envy you with 6-8 hour labors!!!!

My Guesses...
Sex (your guess or u/s result): Um. I can't guess. I have no idea. I am thinking girl-thoughts, but I thought girl the whole time with DS and was WRONG! It's a Boy!
What day will baby be born: April 30 (don't know why, just DS was early and I counted backwards from my due date and that seemed like the place to stop!) Almost happened, but not quite - labor started May & baby was born May 2
What time baby will be born: Hmm. About 3 pm? Ha! Not! 6 AM
Length of labor: 11 hours. That's 1/2 of my labor with DS, which is how my mama's history reads. Try 6.5 = 1/4 of first labor!
Where: At home . . . somewhere I can get upright - like the middle of the living room - gotta get better curtains, though! On the bed!
Weight: Oh, I don't know! How about 7 lbs even? 7 lbs 9 oz & posterior & pushing still only took 10 minutes.
Length: 19"? 20"
Special notes: I'd love to have a quick labor in the middle of the night with DS sleeping through it and me and DH catching the baby with the midwives arriving too late. But I don't think that's very likely. Well, we got quick, middle of the night, and DS slept through most of it. The midwives did get there, which I was glad of, and *I* caught the baby!

As this is a first baby, these guesses are probably way off!

Your Guesses...
Sex (your guess or u/s result): Will find out on Friday and post--feeling too nervous to guess! Little girl!
What day will baby be born: Friday Wednesday
What time baby will be born: 3:24 am 12:27am
Length of labor: over 12 hours (I've read that average first labors are 12 hours and for some reason I expect mine to be longer--perhaps significantly longer) 20 hours from when my water broke; 12 hours from when contractions started; 3.5 hours from when active labor started
Where: Birth Center : Birth Center
Weight: 6 lbs, 8 oz. (I was 6.11, dh was 6.2, and my niece was 6.6, so I'm thinking that we'll be in that range) 6 lbs., 4 oz.
Length: I dunno...how long is a baby? I guess I'll say 19". 20"

Sex: Wow... i honestly have no clue... boy? yup! a boy!
When: May 16th.... close; May 12th
Time: mid morning... kinda...2:13 am
Length of Labor: four hours... 3!
Place: home, hopefully in the birth pool... yup!
Length: 22... yes! and 1/4
Weight: 8.5-9.0 lbs. ... actually 9.6!!

i am also hoping either dh or i can catch the baby, tho midwives will be in attendance.

midwife and water caught the baby... I leaned on dh in the water.

14hrs total only last couple of hrs were painful though.

Where: HOME!!!(ie no traveling anywhere)

Had her at my sister's house. I spent my entire labor there so no traveling.

Special notes: Labor was fantastic pushing a breeze. I bled a bit after so I stayed an extra night at my sister's. We did the UC as planned with DH catching and sister for moral support.
