We find ourselves doing trades with the inlaws. We'll do that on occasion - just ask them "could you use a blah, blah, blah". Most times they can. It's great to get rid of something but know that it's going to a good home where it will be used and appreciated. Plus, they do the same to us which really helps save money. I can't tell you how many things they've passed on to us that saved us serious $$.
