My beads STILL aren't here! IN fact, there was nothing at all in the mailbox and that's been since Saturday. I want my beads, dangit

I think today is considered a mail holiday. Our post offices and banks aren't open here. I'm trying to mail things so I'm frustrated too.

Tara, I bet they'll come tomorrow. WE didn't get any mail here, either and when I tried to go mail a parcel, my mother warned me that USPS took a holiday today.

I think all federal employees had today off. They celebrated since New Years was on a Sunday, they all wanted to have their regular scheduled Monday off. I'm kinda freaking out because I usually pay all my bills the first day of the month. Here it is almost the 3rd and none of them are paid yet! I don't want to go into labor and come home to find all my utilities are shut off, ykwim?

Ana, I think you have enough of a grace period that your utilities won't be shut off! Let's just say that '05 was a tight year for us so I am somewhat familiar with utility billing cycles...

I am bummed that this was a postal holiday, too! I am expecting some fluff for the baby and I was hoping it would be here soon! That's neat that you guys did a bead exchange! We do something similar in my local crunchymama group at our Baby Blessings and its so neat to think of all the other mamas holding you in their thoughts as you prepare to welcome your baby!

Well thats good to know! Hopefully I'll be able to get out today to pay everything anyway.

I'm also waiting for a few things in the mail for this babe too. I hope they'll get here soon!

Waddled out to the mailbox yesterday (why hasn't anyone told me how friggin' slow I walk!? ) and no beads. Got part of my birth music though and the rest will be here today Now I need beads, that just has to be what this kid is waiting for LOL Okay okay, I realized most babies cook longer than 38 weeks but mine don't, so Im a wee tad antsy

I haven't gotten my beads, either, and my baby is here too . Actually, at my mother blessing, we painted rocks to help me with my labor. When I found out I was being scheduled for a c-section, I didn't put them with my hospital stuff. Then, when I got to the hospital and found I could in fact labor, I visualized all of the rocks with the encouraging words and symbols. So, they helped even though I didn't have them!!!

Well, Tara, I can't believe this happened to you of all people. I hope your baby isn't waiting for the beads cause they came back to me today and said wrong address. So PM me your address and I will go send them priority mail with delivery confrmation first thing in the morning. That way if Rythm is waiting for the beads you won't have long to wait. I am so sorry!

If it's any consolation, I got my beads on Fri, Jan 6. They're just beautiful. I'm putting them into the keepsake box I've created to commemorate Carys' birth.
