(taking a deep breath) Joining in!

Hi everyone,
We also got a wonderful Christmas present of ! I'm a little nervous b/c I had a 7wk m/c in Oct. However, I'm already feeling wretched with morning sickness so I'm taking that as a good sign of a strong pregnancy and decided to jump in.

EDD is probably early Sept. I didn't get AF until ds was 18mo, and only had two cycles, both of which were long, 33 & 37 days, so I'm not sure which to base the EDD on. Ds will be just over 2.5 when this baby arrives.

Anyone else feeling ill? I have low-grade nausea all day long. The only thing that helps is constantly putting snacks in my mouth! Am trying to eat healthy but any food that I cook myself just seems bleechhh. Dh made me fried eggs for dinner last night while he & ds ate the real dinner I made.

Welcome!

I only had 2 ppafs, too and my cycles are 5-6 weeks. However, I'm almost positive of the conception date. Do you have any idea when you ovulated. Our oops happened because I thought I had already ovulated. The day after what I think the conception day was, I definitely ovulated. Oops.

I'm not nauseous yet, but I'm expecting it. I have a history of severe m/s, unfotunately. I'm going to do everything I can to not let m/s take over this time. I'm going to tell my mw that I am willing to try any natural remedy she can come up with. But for the nausea you are feeling, I think ginger pills and some vitamin B6 would probably help. During the weeks that my nausea was "average", those two remedies worked very well for me.

Hi VBMama and Congrats! I am having bits of nausea along with some serious hunger. I keep snacking, too and they're not the healthiest snacks thanks to Santa . The good news and the bad news is that most of the Christmas goodies are almost gone (because I ate them) :

Welcome!

I also had a 7wk m/c last summer. I posted ALL about it in the Nov.2005 expecting club.

No nausea yet, but with my ds, I didn't get it until about 6 weeks. With the m/c pregnancy it also arrived at 6 weeks, so I am expecting it next week. With ds it lasted until 12 weeks. I hated that. I'm sorry you already have it.

Congrats and welcome!

So far my only symptom is tiredness. I'm praying I don't get as sick as I did last pregnancy. I was floored for 9 weeks. I couldn't get out of bed, brush my teeth, eat, anything...It sucked and was harder to bear than labor!

Welcome and congrats!! I'm constantly queasy as well. I forgot that weird sensation of being nauseous and hungry at the same time. I've been pretty good with the healthy eating so far, though. My midwife made me fill out a food diary last time and gave me crap for eating too much chocolate, so I think I've already got that in mind! Although I did have a chocolate Cliff Z Bar this morning.

I find the best thing for my queasiness is a glass of soymilk. For some reason, it just calms my stomach right down.

Congratulations!

I get a mild icky feeling in the morning, but I've just been attributing that to not eating soon enough after taking my meds.

I do seem to be constantly hungry, but not ravenous. I feel like I spend half the day staring into the refrigerator and rifling through the cabinets looking for whatever it is that I'm hungry for, but never finding it. Then I go back to whatever I was doing and repeat the search again in about 10 minutes, as if magically the contents of my kitchen would have changed...

Thanks for all the welcomes & m/s tips!

belleandboo, I'm not sure when I o'd. I used to be so good about charting my fertility - did it for tta & ttc for the last 5 years - but ds is such a restless sleeper I don't think I could get an accurate temp unless I did it at 4am, and it's bad enough to be awake at that hour without trying to temp as well, so I just watched for cm and we applied a lot of old-fashioned enthusiasm without worrying about spot-on timing. Hope you avoid the severe m/s this time.

HomeBirthMommy, yeah, I decided that the leftover Christmas peanut & almond M&Ms counted as a protein snack...and they are now long gone!

heartmama, I'm sorry to hear you also had a recent m/c. Let's both hope for a healthy pregnancy this time.

jlpolzin, fatigue isn't anything easy to brush off either! I think you're also chasing a toddler, right? We used to joke about wishing ds had an "off" switch, I could really use it these days!

jadzia's_mommy, that's exactly what I was trying to explain to dh last night, how weird it is to be hungry & nauseous at the same time!

chalynm, I think I decided I was craving udon soup in my mysterious cupboard search today. Too bad I don't have anything resembling ingredients or a Japanese restaurant anywhere nearby.

Nice to "meet" everyone!
