Your mental sayings?

I have some mental sayings, thoughts, whatever that I run through my head like a broken record to keep me GD with Ds. Sometimes I'm GD on the outside and SEETHING on the inside LOL.

1. He's a baby, you're the adult.
2. Whatever he's doing, is developmentally appropriate for his age.
3. I do not hit him! I will not hit or scream!
4. Lots of play equals a happy baby and a less stressed mom.

I know there are more, but can't think of them. So what are some of y'alls thoughts to get through your days?

"This too shall pass" or the alternative "It's just a phase, he'll grow out of it soon enough"

Thanks for starting this thread. I really need it right now.

DS is VERY high-need and has SID, so I have days where I have to say,"No stranger's opinion of me or my kids is as important as my DC." to myself dozens of times. I really struggle with the raised eyebrows and the dirty looks when my kids are being "less than perfect".

I JUST ordered some parenting cards from natural child to help me with this! (mental sayings in tangible form)

they have sayings like "Gentle guidance is best.", "Try whispering
if your words aren't heard."

Discipline me first
Remember his heart
Act from love
Teach, don't punish
Is there a positive way to see this?
