I just started multivitamins and I plan on trying some of the other things you ladies suggested soon but here the thing. Every since i was diagnosed with PPD. Ive had tingling in my hand and lips, also the other day it got some bad with the panic attack my whole left had went numb. I was wondering do you think there is a vitamin that im missing thats causing this. Any suggestions would really be appriated.

I have no idea about the tingling. Were you diagnosed by a Dr? Can you ask him/her about the tingling?

to you.

I have seen that but I don't remember. Post in Health and Healing with a title of "tingling and numbness" or some such and see what you get. There's a lot more traffic there.

Hmmm...there are a lot of reasons why you might have tingling/numbness in the hands and lips. Some of them are pretty minor (medically speaking...I know it's different when it's your hand/lips!) but some could be serious. I'd recommend seeing a doctor if you can.

For me I have occassional numbness in my left hand (the ring finger, middle finger, and index finger specifically) as the result of a pinched nerve in my shoulder. This is a "minor" medical problem and one that I'm treating on my own with exercises and massage. Someday when we have a little extra money I'll probably go to a chiroprator to get it straightened out for good.

However my mom and most of my female cousins on my mom's side have Raynaud's Syndrome, which can also cause tingling/numbness to the fingers and lips and which is more common in women than in men. There is also an emotional link to Raynaud's in that the symptoms can become worse when you're upset. (http://www.lef.org/protocols/prtcl-128.shtml#symp for more info/symptoms/possible treatments or just google "raynaud's syndrome"). Although Raynaud's isn't life threatening, it can be serious...which is why I suggested talking to a dr about your symptoms.

I hope you feel better (emotionally and physically) soon!
