Still nursing and no nipple pain?

One of the first symptoms with dd1 was nipple pain. I don't remember if I had it or not with dd2, but I was still nursing dd1 at the time. I am still nursing dd2 (although she has cut back to twice a day) and am not experiencing any pain. Her nursing is uncomfortable, but not painful. I think it's uncomfortable because I am drying up from her nursing slowing down, not necessarily because I'm pregnant.

Even though this pregnancy was a shock to us, I'm still very worried about m/c. Is anyone else who is still nursing a toddler not experiencing nipple pain?

ETA: I had a m/c before dd1 and a sign that it was happening was that my nipple pain suddenly disappeared which is why I am a bit worried.

I'm still nursing DS and not having any pain whatsoever.
It's still early though, so I'm really hoping that it doesn't kick in.

I nursed DD for the first 2 1/2-3 months of my pregnancy with DS and it KILLED! SO painful.
That might have been partly due to a couple of factors...1)My 'wonderful' CNM had put me on the BC patch when DD was 10 months old which dried me up quite a bit (got pg when she was 16 months), 2) I think my milk was drying up some from the pregnancy as well.

So, I'm really hoping that it's just different with different pregnancies and I won't have to endure the fiery pain this time around

Hopefully neither of us has anything to worry about

P.S I also had a m/c before DD 1, I think it's fairly common unfortunately. Alot of people I know have had the same experience and gone on to have the rest of their pregnancies be totally healthy, normal, and go full-term.

Kellie, . I can certainly understand your concern. I remember having horrible nipple pain with #1. This time the sensation is deeper and almost a full feeling rather than pain, if that makes sense. Though I'm not nursing, I've had lots of ummm, desire this time and dh has not caused me any pain like in past pregnancies.

I also had a miscarriage before #1 and I had lots of back pain with that pregnancy and I'm having a lot of back pain this time, which has me quite nervous.

I'm also nursing ds and not experiencing any nipple pain yet. He nurses a couple times in the am before getting up, at naptime, and at bedtime. Nursing has been uncomfortable for me for the last several months, to be honest, but I haven't noticed any change since becoming pregnant. Here's hoping it will stay that way.

Well I am 6w 2d today and I JUST started having nipple pain while nursing yesterday - so don't worry, you may not be missing out on this special feature. All of my symptoms trade off I swear (one day it's symptoms 4, 2, 8, 9 and then the next day it's 1, 4, 6, 2).

Same here. First pregnancy my breasts were REALLY ouchy. So far in this pregnancy I've had no pain at all. Not even when I'm nursing DD. No morning sickness. My only hints that I'm pregnant are I have go the bathroom a little more than usual and my belly stopped slimming down. We're so early on though. For me I don't think my symptoms really started to kick in noticably until 6-7 weeks last time, so maybe it's just the same thing happening again. Try not to worry.

Same here. Major pain first pregnancy, no pain this time. It's nice, really. But I'm with you-it's a bit worrying not having all of the hard things from the first pregnancy. Who ever thought I'd want to be nauseous and tender?

I have to join this group because it's really bothering me. I'm so paranoid this time, since I had a m/c before ds. Now I'm almost 43 and so I have this horrible fear that it will happen again.

No nursing pain, which I thought was a given. I'm glad to hear that I'm not alone. I also check my temp off and on, which is just stupid at this point, I know. When will I really be confident that this pg will continue??
