If you could pick the day. . .

when would you deliver?

I would go this Friday night/Sat. morning. I like those days because the weekend is less busy and gives me a couple days without everything else. Also, I would get to have the baby early and before my parents left for vacation and it would be born 10 days before my dds bday party so I could recover and recruit help without needing to reschedule the party.

Of course, since I don't have any say in the matter. . .

I probably would have picked the due date (12/31), but since that's come and gone, if I could pick NOW, I guess I'd pick Friday, since the BC won't be seeing people that day and will be nice and quiet. But I sure would happily take tonight or tomorrow if I could.

Tonight works just fine for me! But really... I love the number 7, so that day works too.

I would pick Friday when I'll be exactly 37 weeks. I definitely feel ready.

I'm very zen about the whole thing, the baby will come when he comes, and I"m ok with that. I'd like to have my birth tub first, but maybe that won't happen. And I'd like it if the baby came when dh was getting some time off work, which will be toward the end of the month, beginning of Feb, or maybe my Gramma's birthday, which is the 17th. (If it's a girl, we'll name it after her.) But really... baby will be here when he decides to get here.

No preference here either. I had some raised hopes about Dec. 31 because it's DH's great-grandma's b-day (she passed in Jan. 2000 at the age of a hundred), and if baby is indeed a girl, her middle name will be in honor of her great-great-grandma. The symmetry of all that appealed to me But now that's not a possibility I don't really care- I just want to meet my baby eventually!

I find I'm much more laid back this pregnancy than with my son. With him I was checking moon charts and barometric pressures and woke up every morning wondering if 'today is the day'. In the end he chose the most perfect day/time to be born- not only did I get a great night's sleep going into labor and DH was there, but my MIL had shown up the day before and I had had no clue what to do with that woman since I was a week overdue and in no mood to entertain. So it all worked out!

And that's what I think this time- somehow it will all work out.
Though I reserve the right to be hanging around these forums a week from now whining my head off to anyone who will listen

I'd like the baby to wait until I'm finished scrubbing the house, but anytime after that would be A-OK! BIL's birthday is the 22nd (I'm due the 21st) so that would be cool. Really, I have no preference. Of course, I may be singing a different tune a couple of weeks from now!

Day of the week doesn't matter to me ~ I was hoping for an '05 babe but since that didn't work out I just hope it's anytime soon!

Definitely don't want the 18th though ~ it's my nephew's birthday and scheduling family events for two different birthdays would suck! (Not to mention I do not want to wait that long!!!!!!!!)
