Just got back from my appointment, and it went well. BP good, 100/60 weight down 2 pounds! (first loss this entire pregnancy) Urine good, though I almost forgot to pee INTO the cup again.
OB checked me because I wasn't checked last week. I told her about the contractions I've been having lately, and she said "They were doing something! You're 2, almost 3 centimeters!" 50% effaced. She thinks that I'll probably go before this weekend.
My next appointment next Wednesday she said if I have dialated more but still not gone into full blown labor, she will probably want to help it along. Reason being, we're 45 minutes away from the hospital and I have a history of superfast labors. (one push births) I am not striving for an unassisted homebirth, so I think I'm okay with her plan of action. She said we can talk about it more if the time comes, but she doesn't really think I'll need any help along. She suggested that if I get any contractions that last for at least an hour and are regular, to call them and go in to get checked. She really doesn't want me missing my window of oppurtunity to try and have a better labor/birth than I did last time.
I was able to discuss my fears with her, and was pleasantly surprised that the other OB did indeed fill her in on what I talked to her about. There are only two in the practice right now, so I was able to talk to them both honestly about how scared I am about my tailbone cracking further.
All in all it was a great visit. Its nice to know those contractions have been doing something after all. I mentioned the full moon, and she was pretty adamant that she didn't think I'd make it that far.
Thats my update! I guess I'd better double check my bags and make sure things are in order.
