Hi!

That is an adorable dipe, and really good photos. I think it is pretty clear too. New sewers are going to love that.

I've been thinking about starting to CD, I would love to make my own. Your pictures were great, simple and clear instructions, just might push me over the edge to get started. Now I just need to pull out my sewing machine...

Geez, you guys are sweet!

This is really similar to one I found online a while back, but now I can't remember where. It helped me TONS and made me finally brave enough to tackle dipes I'm a picture kinda gal I guess!

If a beginner sewer like me can make this dipe in 30 minutes with a teething 6 month old, anybody can!

I just made a fleece cover tonight with an 18 month old in my lap who was way past ready for bed (ie, FUSSY) and was wanting to play with all the knobs and switches on my sewing machine. He's good at hitting the reverse switch. : But I just *had* to get it done because I needed to wash his wool cover, his big PUL cover is a bit tight on his legs for nighttime use and it was dirty anyway (waiting to be washed after the washer was fixed).

Thankfully, DS found the big wad of Lastin (the replacement for the Lastin that disappeared a month or so ago), and that kept him busy while I finished the rest of the cover. Phew! He's wearing it now.

Sewing with children is difficult!!!

So awesome!!! Patsgrace, you ROCK!! I have been helping a friend, who is just learning to sew and on an extremely tight budget, switch over to cloth diapering. This will help her soooo much! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Yeah, these types of dipes are seriously cheap!

I use flannel from thrift store sheets for around $3 (which makes about 8 dipes)
And T-shirts that are around $.99 (which make 1 or 2 dipes)
And old towels that are maybe $.99 (which make soakers for maybe 10 dipes)
Plus some $.49 a yard 3/8 inch swimwear elastic
And a snappi from granitesmith on ebay for $1.35 (the cheapest I've found! And good for countless dipes)

You do the math! I'm too tired, but that's darn cheap.

They aren't the coolest, but they sure work. You guys are making me feel like a hero. Shucks.

You have inspired me! I think I really have to give this one a try. Wonder what Daddy's gonna say when he sees me making diaps out of my old t's! I hope "Nugget" is a U2 fan!
