Dear Auntie Pearl:
My husband believes that he should smack my 14-month old's hands for the high crime of dropping cooked carrots off his high chair tray.
He has never read a discipline book and doesn't know much about developmental stages for young children-- he is simply following his mother's example and advice.
Should I submit to his will for disciplining our son? I want us to be a Godly household, and certainly I don't want to risk usurping how authority by presenting him with a bunch of books by so-called child development "experts."
But something in me knows he is wrong about this.
