I totally agree with Bwylde. One of my big "aha!" moments was when I was setting up, for the millionth time that day, little scenes with the kids' toys in the playroom. I set things up so that they look inviting, which means that I have to reset them up constantly. I was kind of complaining about it to my mom, who said, "That means you're succeeding. If you're trying to make things inviting then you're doing a wonderful job since you have to keep redoing it."
It was just one of those epiphanies...what is the point? What is it I'm trying to accomplish? Do I want to have a beautiful, sterile house or do I want to have a pack of kids who live here and are comfortable just being themselves and doing their thing without worrying about carefully picking things up afterwards? I guess it was one of those moments where I reevaluated my priorities.
