My house has never smelled so good!

We used to use natural commerical products, we are trying to cut back expenses and save in any way we can though. So we have used up the last of our cleaning products and have started to just use TTO, vinegar and baking soda. I just got done cleaning the kitchen and moping our whole house(wood floors). Oh my gosh..my house smells so clean i love it. I don't know why i have never added TTO to my mop water before but i am so glad i did. I feel like laying on the floor it smells so darn good. I also made a squirt bottle of cleaner..now we are good to go! Off to do the toilets. I can't wait until dh comes home and smells the house. He loves TTO, he will be in EO heaven.

Hi! I'm currently switching to homemade cleaning products too. I'm new to the forums and I'm not sure what TTO is or what EO is. I mostly clean with a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water and for scrubbing I use baking soda with a little Dr. Bronner's soap. Do you have any natural ideas for killing mold and mildew in the shower? What do you use for disinfecting (like cleaning up dog poop or throw up)?

I know what you mean. I don' tmake my own cleaners yet, as I have found a natural cleaner I really like. But I do use vinegar to clean some things
So, my natural cleaner of choice is Life Tree Lavender and TTO cleaner. I bought a HUGE container of concentrate in bulk from Azure. I like to mop with it, clean toys,clean bathrooms, tubs, pretty much everything that can be cleaned without the aid of my oxygen bleach
i have never used commercial air fresheners...just haven't, never thought about it. I guess it's because I am extremely sensitive to smells.But I have stopped using commercial candles. I try to buy natural. i love lavender, it has never bothered me.

TTO=tea tree oil
EO=Essential Oil

We don't use commerical air fresheners either. Our home just smells "clean" and that smells good to me. Not like bleach..just clean. I usualy use a lavender cleaner that does smell good and natural, but i just love the clean smell of TTO. I do use Patchouli Soy Tarts in my burners sometimes. I love the smell of patchouli. I also really love using Grapefruit Seed Extract it smells so yummy.

Okay, I'm new to this, so please excuse the question if it is an obvious one. Are you mixing the baking soda, TTO and vinegar together do your cleaning and wood floors? I too have wood floors, I've been doing the 50/50 vinegar/water thing, but not overly impressed... it leaves a film. So I am very interrested in your concoction!

I've seen TTO mentioned a lot in regards to natural cleaning. What are the benefits of using it to clean? Are there other uses for it too? I read somewhere that it is anti-bacterial. Would it kill mold and mildew?

tto is antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal, so it's a pretty great all-around disinfectant. Also good for mold and mildew and about a million body care uses. It's pretty amazing stuff.

so what's the ratio for the mop water? how much baking soda? wqhere can i get TTO?

anxioooous to try it on my floors. i a;ready use vinegar/wateer for counters and such
