What are movie theater admission prices in your area?

Our small town has just one theater. We just saw "Narnia" the other night. First show of the day is a bargain time, so the admission is cheaper than the second show (or second and third shows on weekends).

Regular show prices are $5.00 for adults, $3.50 for children and seniors.

Bargain times (showtime before 5:00 pm) are $3.50 for everyone.

They have several special deals in the snackbar. As there is always just me, dh & ds, we always get: Giant pop (32 oz) + giant popcorn = $4.50 (with free refills on the popcorn).

So, for us to see "Narnia" at bargain time it cost us $3.50 x 3 = $10.50 + $4.50 (pop & popcorn) = $15.00 for our fun evening out.

What is it in your area?

I don't know how much they are at the stadium seating cinema (Cinemark)...
but at the Drive-In...it's 5 dollars a head for 2 movies. Children under 12 get in free.

We saw Narnia on New Year's Eve with our 2 dd's and the cost was $9.75 for adults (turned out to be $7 for each of us because we had the Entertainment book coupon) and $6.50 for each child. Expensive IMO but a good night out. And refreshments are expensive so we try to keep them at a minimum and share drinks, etc. We do have a more inexpensive theater (adults $4.00, kids, seniors and matinee price is $3.50) but the movies are shown after they have already been at the other theaters awhile so it's hard to wait for something we really want to see (like Harry Potter when it first came out).

9.50 adults, usually that's all shows except the very first showing. Don't even know for kids, dd is still too young for movies. We have a bargain cinema by us (it's older and not as fancy, but fine) and it is $7.

It's $7.50 or $8.00 for and adult here and $5.25 for kids/matinees. We have two $1 or $1.50 theaters here but they also show second run movies. Refreshments are outrageous here. I think it's $10 or $11 for the "combo" a large soda and popcorn with free refills. We split a combo.

We also rarely go to the movies unless it's something you HAVE to see on the big screen like Harry Potter or Narnia..We'll be springing to go see Narnia again next weekend though because it was SO awesome on the big screen..

We have netflix and see most of our movies that way!

8.50 adults, 6.50 students, 5.50 kids and seniors, 5.50 matinee. I took dd and 3 of her friends out to the movies for her birthday and it cost me about 50.00 with popcorn and sodas.
We don't go to the movies very often.

$10.50 adult, $8.50 child. As much again for popcorn.

It's $6.75 for matinees, military personnel and I forget what the regular price admission is because we almost always go to a matinee.

Don't hate me but we have a $0.50 theater in my neighborhood. It shows films that are about 3 months old. So if one doesn't mind waiting several weeks to see a film tis the place to go.
