Oh my poor aching hips

My hips hurt soo bad most of the time. I have to put pressure on them if I want to walk without pain.
The other night one side was so bad I thought it was going to give out on me. I wish there was something that would help this pain. Owwww

The physio that I used to go to gave me exercises to do every day. SIt on a chair andput your feet flat onthe ground and put a ball between your knees and squeeze your thighs and knees together and hold for 2 counts andrepeat 20 times, 3 time a day.
For walking I used a wide elasticated bandage under my clothes around my hips which helped a lot.

Hope this helps.

Where would I find a wide elastic bandage? And also where about is it worn, like under the belly and around the hips?

not sure about the elastic band but what about one of those belly band type things...that might work maybe?

Otherwise I would try taking tylenol if its real bad, and talk to your dr. Maybe there is something he can suggest. That and I find sleeping with a pillow between my legs etc seems to help get things back into place. Maybe try taking bathes in epsom salt too, Im pretty sure its safe during pregnancy. Hope you get some relief soon...all the shifting and adjusting, oi!

Mine hurt terribly, too. I had a bad hip before I got pregnant and that one is killing me, the other one just aches a little. Just one more thing to LOVE about having your body taken over by a little parasite.

Hi
I bought the elastic bandage over the counter at a pharmacy.
It is put underthe bump and around the hips.
You can get a special elasticized belt which is designed for pregnancy that sits under the stomachandaround thehips.
I had one but I found it to be quite uncomfortable so I stuck with the bandage.

I'm with ya! My chiro is on maternity leave, & I so can't wait for her to be back in a couple of weeks. I could see someone else, but keep putting it off!
