Hi ladies,
Just a quickie to say that our beautiful baby girl arrived a week early on Tuesday, January 3rd at 7:02 am! Her name is Klara May and she weighed 8 lbs, 0 oz and is 20" long.
The original plan was to labour at home until approximately 4 or 5 cm dilation, however, I ended up calling my midwife when I was fully dilated (I thought that I was still in early labour believe it or not- looking back now, I don't know where my brain was). We drove quickly to the hospital and after an hour and fifteen minutes of pushing, we were holding our precious daughter.
There was some drama as the hospital staff were stressed out by our late arrival but despite that, we were able to have a beautiful natural and gentle delivary for Klara.
We have been home for some time but babymooning and we are all doing marvelously well.
