Can I vent a bit. . .

Okay, my due date is not until January 16 or 19 depending on what you go by. I knew of 8 other people who were due right around or shortly after me. At this point, all of them have had their babies and I haven't had one inkling that this baby has ANY desire to leave my body. I feel huge and everyone keeps asking "Isn't that baby here yet???" to which I would like to reply "Does it look like it????"

My son was 8 days late, so I am guessing that this baby will be that late too. I am feeling like baby is huge (DS was 9 pounds and a difficult, long delivery) and that labor will be horrid. If I look at a calendar, baby technically could be born in February. I think I would go crazy if I had to go that long.

Sorry, I feel like all I have posted here are complaints since I started posting. Thanks for being a venting place! I am overjoyed that so many have had beautiful babies. I am loving the names. My husband will not even discuss what he wants to name the baby, leaving me to believe that he just does not care, so I can name this babe whatever I want!

When I was pregnant with #2, there were quite a few of my friends due AFTER me. I had another friend due right around me. The two of us held our babies in while people due around and after us had babies in arms already. We thought it was funny actually. What we realized is that we were healthier people than the others, and that made me feel good about gestating longer. (though for me, "longer" wasn't technically as "long" as others!) Hang in there mama! Babies can't cook forever!

I'm technically due on either the 16th or th 19th as well. And I haven't had my baby yet. Tara's right, my midwife has also said she's noticed that the healthier ones tend to keep their babies in longer... which is why she doesn't think I'm gonna go til Feb. Don't be discouraged!
