Postpartum belly button question

Thread Starter
With this pregnancy my belly button poked out big time at around 5 months. As I got bigger and bigger it flattened out because it was completely stretched. Now, that my belly's gone down to almost flat my belly button is really dark brown. Anyone else have a brown button?

BTW, this didn't happen with my first two pregnancies.

I wish I could say my belly is almost flat , but yep with this pregnancy my belly button poked out and now is dark brown in spots too. I have no idea why, but it looks really funky!

yup mine is practically black. happened last time too. not sure why...i'm latina and have darkish skin anyway, i thought it was related to that somehow. not sure.

my belly button is really dark, too. i also still have my linea negra... does that ever go away?

Yepper. Count me in among the dark belly buttons. And it has a strange, kinda rough texture now too. Is that just me? Will it return to its somewhat normal pre-prego state?

mine turned brown when pregnant with k and never really went back to the color it was before. this time around, i was very close to flat belly button for a time, then he dropped and it looked like a little butt. now it's all soft and sticks out on the side! how odd!

Oh great thread,

Yeah my whole belly seems a little darker, my belly button and linea negra too! Can someone who's been prego before tell me when it fades away?

Yeah me too, it came along with the linea negra pigmentation changes. It's kind of going away now (the belly button coloring, not the line down my tummy). It's kind of weird though because now my belly button is all stretched out so it's like a huge crater instead of being shallow like it was pre-pregnancy.

I read that the linea negra tends to fade away in 6-12 months, although for some women it never does.
