Well LunaMom, according to the show, you should be able to cheat with Alexandra and your wifey will take you back! Even though Tina is givng Bette hell, she still took her back. Carmen didn't give Shane any grief at all (and, no, I don't think tossing a couple of pizza slices and reading from the dictionary qualifies as punishment)! Furthermore, Shane basically told her she's gonna cheat on her again and Carmen's like, "OK" Carmen better not ever bitch at all ever again when Shane cheats the next time. Jenny barely batted an eyelash at Moira's excuse for letting Billy do his thing with her, which brings up a good point- if someone performs that act on your attachment, is it really cheating?

Yes, Billy is a strange character and it looks like something is going down in the next episode.

I heard Carmen has been axed from the show. Has anyone else heard this? I don't want my eye candy to go away!!!

In the new issue of Curve magazine, there are interviews with the actress who plays Carmen and the actress that plays Moira. It's no surprise that Carmen's dimwitted performance isn't really "acting". I hope that it's just the poor writing or the interviewer, but darn, she sounds less than sharp.

Now, the actress that plays Moira. :sigh: First off, she's only the second cast member to really be gay (oh, besides Mr Cumming) and she's brilliant to boot! Whoa!

I think the whole cancer storyline is crazy. Her doc was talking about removing the lump and her lymph nodes one minute and the next minute he's getting her ready for a full mastectomy! Grrr!

Still, it's the L Word. Not the most realistic storylines. For that, I loved Queer as Folk. I get my total cheese from the L Word.

Sounds like you need to down load the codec to get the sound. This one usually has all the current codecs http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...Codec_Pack.htm

I think that Leisha is a lesbian, though Alice is bisexual. At least, that's what I read on PlanetOut!

I read that article with Sarah Shahi in Curve and I thought it was quite shallow as well but I don't think the interviewer was asking any probing questions.

I was rather bored by Sunday's episode but next week looks better. Is Billy gone? I can't believe he would disappear the minute we got a little insight into him. I have no comment about him and Moira.

I really hope Alice hooks back up with the vampire because I was feeling her

I'm kind of intrigued by Moira's storyline, though she seems so separate from the rest of the crowd.

My friend has a friend who works in the biz in L.A.....and she said something happened on set and she is outta there bc of it. Didnt get the dirty details.. but her and Bette are the 2 hotties on the show, IMHO....

I cannot stand the way Shane and Carmen (well, and everyone else) are so weirded out by Moira's transitioning. I mean, c'mon, they're in LA for freak's sake!

It's just really uncomfortable how they're treating Moira. And she's not even BUTCH butch like I'm used to seeing. Damn. If they came up here to Orygun and saw some of our stone butches.....

Shane, I think she's cool flirty but I don't find her physically attractive. Yes too skinny. According to one of the gay gossip rags, that acress was "accidentally" outed by the actress who plays Tina. So she may be gay IRL but there's this veil of secrecy. I guess because they won't be seen as "hot" by the male crowd if they are known as lesbians in real life, not just acting.

I think Carmen is totally unconvincing as a lesbian and not a very good actress. Eye candy, yeah - she was a Lakers cheerleader (or one of those famous teams, Cowboys, whatever). I wish they'd gotten a nice looking actress who was a little more, uh, well, gay. Haha.

The actress who plays Tina.... she "used" to be a lesbian, LOL. She was the "butch one" in the movie "The Incredible Adventures of Two Girls in Love." she was the butch, short hair and sleeveless t-shirts mechanic in that movie. A few years ago she married a man and now does not ID as gay, from what I read. She just had a baby IRL with her husband.

I hate the restaurant manager guy, he scares me. Ick. Surprisingly, I love Moira. I think the show is being a jerk to her, her character is something for us to laugh at and it makes me mad, because she's so sweet despite it all. I was loving the show till Moira came along, and now I am mad at the rest of the characters for being such elitist bitches.

Helena did like a sudden 360 in personality and it's unconvincing and random.

I like Bette this season, a lot. She seems real and vulnerable. I think Tina's need to nurture has been shifted to the baby, and she's cold to Bette and has turned her back on her.

I agree that the cheating stuff is being condoned too easily. Maybe even glamourized? Gosh, I sound like an old fogey.

The Kit/Manny stuff is BORING and dumb.

LOL! this is probably the only het relationship on the L-word that I have ever thought waas cool, and not Yuk! I think it is really cool that they are portraying a menopausal woman as sexy and attractive, and I think the idea that she is attractive to a younger man is great.
Oh yeah, and the actress who plays Lara was once Rose Troche's girlfriend/lover they made a movie called Go Fish together. In the bizzare six degrees of seperation I was almost in the movie. There is a party scene where they invited a bunch of people, I had the flu and didn't go.

Mami, I LOVE LOVE Kit, you're right she is an awesome character and IMO the best actress on the show. And I like her gettin some with a younger man... I just don't like that Manny guy. He seems like a "twerp" to me. I wish she had someone sexy and strong and that she had some visible chemistry with. I'd love to see some steamy Kit romance! I don't see any chemistry with the "twerp" which is why it bores me.
The Manny guy reminds me of the "male lesbian" that Alice dated for a while, and I thought he was blech too. The show definately gets hotter girls than guys, LOL.

ITA on the L-word guys mostly being twerps, Kit's son David is probably the best looking ever, but they made him into a total jerk! I also agree that Kit is the best actress on the show, with Bett,Jenny (post season I) and Non-psycho Alice being 2, 3, & 4. I am really in the minority probably but I loathed Jenny in season I, however IMHO she has developed into one of my faves. I think she's pretty hot despite the cutting thing. Other than that it would be Kit, Bette, Carmen, Helena in that orderBut I'm not lookin at them that way!

Oh no!!! Damn!! I was so hoping it wasn't true. Rainsmom, you have to get the scoop! Did anyone get the Playboy issue with Karina Lombard (aka "Marina")? I actually read the article ( ) and she seemed to suggest that she was let go from the show because Jennifer Beals was jealous of her and the attention she got. I was wondering if the same thing happened with Sarah Shahi. Well I hope Carmen dumps Shane in the most fabulous of ways.

Kincaid, YES! I agree with your assessments as well. Kit and Manny have ZERO chemistry. That's what is so terrible about the relationship. I'm sure there were other hot actors out there with more personality that they could've hired to have a relationship with Pam Grier. Geez.: Oh, and I saw Tina in "...Adventures in Love..." Big change

Also, I agree that they are all acting like asses when it comes to Mooira/Max. As Pamamidwife said, it's LA for goodness sake! They are acting like she is the first transgendered person they've ever encountered. Really bizarre. I just don't know what the writers are trying to accomplish by making all them act ignorant. Someone in this group should display some sense and compassion. At least Dana asked her a legit question at the end of Sunday's episode.

Mamimapster, I, too, find Jenny a lot more attractive and tolerable this season.

Even though Tina is really acting up, I did think Bette had a lot of nerve to tell Tina she was breaking up the family! How quickly they forget: I think they need to explore more of this cheating issue in a more responsible fashion. They should discuss polyamory or open relationships. The writers need to say something instead of continuing to gloss over it.

Next week's episode looks quite soap operish- has Dylan been using Helena all this time, to try to get money out of her? Hmm...didn't see that coming.

So, does anyone know who sang that song at the beginning of the last episode, with Dana and Alice? Wow, I thought it was really moving and beautiful. I tried to catch it in the credits but didn't.

Ebony, I think Showtime has a L-Word website where it has all the songs and the artists listed by episode. If it's not Showtime, it's another fan site like that.

I am ever madder about Mooira/Max now that I see the previews for the next episode. So we are supposed to think she starts being physically violent all of a sudden? She is such a puppy-dog, I am not buying it. (Unless the hormone shots will do that to you? I dunno). But I hate they are making her character even more of a "problem" person.

I did not see the Marina playboy. WHOA. Uh, what issues was that? HAHA. Can you get back issues on e-bay?

Does Dana have cancer in real life? She has gotten so extrememly thin. I did not know what to make of the scene where she showed her breast to Alice. It looked so real. That actress is doing a great job - I really hope she doesn't go away

I DID talk with my friend about what her friend knew....and then she proceeded to tell me everything that happens at the end of the season...WHICH I HATE!!! I HATE SPOILERS!!!!!!! WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO KNOW....then I might as well not watch it anymore, ya know?

So I wont be spilling any out here......she didnt ask her friend what the details were about Carmen leaving the show, but it was "something that happened on the set"....and after my friend spilled her guts, I didnt want to ask her anythng else about the show. Its a shame, bc I think carmen is one of the better ones on the show, certainly the hottest, though I think the last 2 episodes have played her out to be a hot head latina...which yes, we are, but come one, getting pissed at Shane about a dream?!? ya, right.

Maybe its bc Moira is transgendering from a woman to a man, maybe its bc she's using Jenny, doesnt have a job, is a horrible roommate, doesnt like any of them either.....take your pick. And yes, the testoserone can make you agressive.......Jenny IS a little more tolerable this season, but Im bored with the storyline already.

I guess it would be hotter if they had a hotter actor for Kit. But I like the storyline anyway....

Bette is really off.....I hope she comes back from the retreat with her head out of her axx. I mean, come on, they have a baby to consider. She's pushing Tina away if you ask me. Doesnt seem like her, esp since all of last season she was doing everything to get her back.

Helena....that was weird. I didnt expect what I saw in the coming attractions, maybe an angry boyfriend....

Anyone know how many more episodes till the end??
