Last night Dh and I came up with an idea for a living ceiling. We want to get vines to grow all across the ceiling of our living. Any suggestions for how to do this and what type of vines to use. We do have three windows in the room, but it doesn't get too much natural light. We also want to be able to cover the ceiling quickly so we would need a vine that grows quickly. Thanks for any advice!

I used to work in a greenhouse and can't think of anything that would grow quickly especially in a room that dosen't get much light. I mean you could always go with an ivy for shade, but it probably won't grow fast. Then theres jasmine that grows pretty quickly, but needs a good amount of light so no help there either. Also I live in Mich. so I'm not familiar with too many non-native plants. What state do you live in? Maybe someone would be familiar with your particular area.
