morning sick

I think someone posted this on the regular pregnancy board.

I wasn't sick really at all the first trimester, but now I seem to be nauseated and with a poor appetite every morning. I just hit 31 weeks; anyone with any comments on the return of morning sickness? Maybe its just getting to the end, and things in general are getting harder, like digesting.

My weight seems to have leveled off too...thought things would pick up about now (not that I'm complaining!! )

Someone else probably has a clearer idea of what's happening, but to me it makes sense....your stomach is getting cramped for space, especially in the morning when the baby hasn't settled into your pelvis. Your intestines are squashed, too.

Does your appetite return in the evening? If so, I'd guess that you're just too cramped for space in the morning. I had a friend that complained in the 8th and 9th month of pregnancy she had to eat six TINY meals a day...if she ate a normal-sized meal, she'd feel sick, get heartburn, etc.

Sorry you're feeling sick, though. At least eating several small meals a day is healthier for you!

I'm the same way. Everything nauseates me and I have horrible heartburn and feel very full after even a tiny meal. It's like morning sickness all over again. I only get a few weeks each pg w/o feeling crappy so we're used to it by now. Usually we'd just feed me whatever will stay down but we're flat broke now so if I can't make it at home, I can't eat it. (And chances are if I have to smell it cooking I'll throw up) Mom';s been making some of my favorite meals and having me go over there to eat which helps. I find it hard to get enough water in this time too so the first thing I do whenever I move is drink a glass of water, that helps a bit.

Wanted to add: I don't eat meals at all anymore. I snack, every 45 minutes to an hour. I'll have a slice of cheese, a piece of pineapple, one piece of toast, a tiny salad, etc. Very small bites. Frequently, I've found that it helps me hold food down better and I end up getting more in me that way. For example, last night I made my Grandma's chicken wings. When they were done I ate 3 small wings, about an hour later I had a small salad w/cheese. About half hour later I had 2 fresh pineapple slices. An hour after that I had some garlic bread.

I posted a question about this not too long ago.
A few posters said they had heard of or had morning sickness this late. Also the baby may be pushing in a strange place.
I am going to see a gastroenterologist this week so if they tell me more about why/what causes it this late I will let you know.

baby is currently ROT with her feet wedged into my stomach, lol. She also likes LOT ( http://www.spinningbabies.com/BellyMapping.html ) and wedges her lil bum up in my stomach. So I am getting the reflux from lack of space, ugh. My meal size has dropped to half (3 meatballs instead of 6, for example) and I eat more often too.

So not odd to get nausea again.. taht and baby is putting on lots of fat and muscle weight now.. so even if you notice no weight changes, baby is still sucking lots of glucose.
