Hi there!
Has anyone read the new book out by T. Berry Brazelton, called Brazelton on Sleep? I repect him so much, but am wary about his ideas on sleep.
If anyone knows about this, could you let me know?
Thanks!

Well just this week I saw him on TV answering a mom's question. She asked at what age her 2 year old should switch from a crib to his own bed. He said you should leave the child in the crib as long as possible, because (and he emphasized this part: ) "then they understand that THAT'S WHERE THEY BELONG."

Can't imagine he'd be supportive of cosleeping...maybe condascendingly saying "some parents choose to do it but..." at best, would be my guess.

I agree he can be great about child development, but seems to have the typical Western prejudices against the wonderfulness of cosleeping.

YOu can always read it from the library if you don't want to make a commitment to the book.

Two pediatricians have books that are supportive of cosleeping: Sears and Gordon.
