I haven't had any real labor signs, other than some loose BMs, and increased crotch pressure, but ever since last night, I really feel like the time is getting close for me. I have my doubts as to whether I'll have any pre labor signs at all, or if one day, I'll just up and have a baby. What I'd really like is to have my birth tub before the baby comes, and I see my midwife tomorrow, so I'll put some pressure on her then. I'm feeling nesty, but not in the sense that it usually means... I"m actually feeling much more withdrawn, like I want to hibernate, rather than the cleaning frenzy most people get. I don't want to go out, I don't want to see people, I just want to hole up in my jammies and rest. Not to mention, moving really hurts. I have some rib pain, and a LOT of increased crotch pain in the past couple days. I'm positive the baby is moving down, and today, I had a BH that increased some pressure down there, as opposed to doing nothing. Full moon is this weekend, and then my due date comes, so we'll see...

Persephone, I've had that holing up by myself at home feeling for a while, too. In fact, I've actually stayed in pajama-like clothing all day for a few days in the last couple weeks, which is very unlike me.
I forgot it was a full moon this weekend. Surely THAT will get my baby out of here....any maybe yours, too!

I'm having some of the same 'signs'.
Although I have to say I've been very uncomfortable for a while, thought I would go around xmas for that reason (that and the spotting & contrax!). Frustrated that I can't do much but there's a good reason our bods are telling us to rest, I guess. Don't want to do anything but bored & restless at the same time!
I can't imagine being one of those moms who work right up to the day... I quit working 2 weeks before my due date w/ my dd, felt like such a wuss, but I just couldn't handle being around people (and sitting for 8 hours).
Is your date next Mon.? Mine is (not that it means much)
Rest lots!

I've been feeling the same way for about 2 weeks now-not wanting to get out of the house. I don't want to do the grocery shopping, I don't want to go to church, I don't want to see people. I hope that means it's approaching for me too.

I know you are getting close. *I* can feel it. I have awakened two days in a row thinking how you will have a baby very soon. Probably not soon as in today or tomorrow, but I can feel your baby's arrival. It's strange, I don't feel it for me, but for you

Oh ashcox, don't tell me that!
Two more weeks of feeling like this would be SO depressing! I was telling dh today, that my legs don't hurt, as long as they aren't moving. But every step is agony. No, not two more weeks of that!
Tara, I'm all about your intuition if it says I'm gonna go soon.
I've been feeling like you're about to go for weeks now... but now, I'm kinda focusing in on me. I KNOW it can't be much longer now... a week, or two at most.
ehsclt, I've also stayed in my jammies as much as I can for the past couple days! It's kind of embarassing though, when the mailman comes to your door at 3 in the afternoon, and you're still bumming around in your jammies.
At least I have the big belly as an excuse.

Well Persephone, I sure don't wish 2 more weeks on you, that's for sure.
I've had that awful leg thing where you can't even walk too and it is just the pits.
I'm starting to have this feeling like my baby may be coming this weekend, and this is the first I've actually felt that he may be coming soon. The rest of the time I've just felt reclusive, so maybe a good thing? It's funny how inuition works. I hope it pans out for us! Hoping the full moon encourages our babies to arrive (so long as they are ready, of course!!)

My cat is acting really freaky, wondering if he knows something we don't?
I almost told dh that I think tonight/tomorrow might be it but don't wanna get anyone's hopes up. Feeling v. introspective & weepy but in a good way.... VERY emotional about my last days alone with my baby girl (dd is 4), tearing up as I type. Anybody else freaked out by that? Like a long chapter is about to close...SOON! Excited by the new one about to start, of course, but just plain wistful today. Sigh....
Sorry to babble
I really do think the weekend is gonna bring lots of action..get ready, girls!!

I really do think the weekend is gonna bring lots of action..get ready, girls!!

Last night, I felt different. I actually thought I would be having a baby today. My body started the "cleaning out" process, if you know what I mean. And I had my first painful ctx. But, then I went to sleep, knowing it would be best, and nothing else happened. And nothing today, cept more BHs. Dh said last night that today would be about the absolute worst day, because his boss wouldn't be at work, and he would have to take over for her. So, of course, I figured we'd be having a baby today.
But it seems to not be so. I see my midwife this evening, and hopefully impress upon her how soon I think I"m gonna have this baby so I can get my tub! And then I'll really be ready. Still feel like I'm gonna have a baby within a week, though.
Kathi, I do know what you mean about feeling like a chapter is about to close. Last night, I was happy and excited about it, but I vascillate between happy and excited, and nervous. When I thought I was starting labor, I started to sweat and shake, I think more out of nerves than anything. I keep trying to wrap my mind around the maginitude of change that will be happening in my life, and I just can't do it. So I go back to thinking about each moment, living in the present, and it's easier to take that way... just like labor... one moment at a time, not the whole thing at once.
Today, I am pregnant. My husband and I are two. Tomorrow, who knows? But I won't think about that til tomorrow comes. It's the only way to keep going right now.

I really hope you can get your hands on your tub girl!! I'm all anxious for you. Do you have a back-up? Like, have you purchased a fishy pool "just in case"? Do you know anyone else from whom you can get a tub on the fly like that? I know you've got to be stressed about the tub. HOpefully your mw's other moms have given birth so you can have it. I'd be really worried if I had to wait on other people to get one (which is another reason we forked out the dough we didn't have for one...and now I'm a person someone else may be waiting on. kind of ironic LOL)
