Sarah Grace entered our realm looking up! Yes, posterior, at 1:53 am on Sat. 1/7 after about 2 1/2 hrs of labor and 20 min of pushing -- if all that. She is 6 lbs 7 oz, 19 1/2 in long with a perfectly shaped tow head. No side cone or forceps marks this time! She came quickly in an unmedicated, barely made it to the hospital, had to 'hold' urgent desire to push til mw got there kind of birth! It was fast, hard, scary, chaotic until mw got there -- she was incredible at slowing me down to push with deliberation. I only tore slightly along the old beastly cut scar and it barely hurts at all. I did pull a groin muscle but that's worked out. Placenta delivered spontaneously this time; I still bled a good bit, so she gave me a shot of pit to be sure of no repeat hemor. Cramps were bad, but no nightmare repeats!! yay!
Sarah Grace latched on like a champ and we've been babymooning at home since yesterday with proud big sis and daddy. She and the birth are truly blessings. Thanks so much for your thoughts!
