Any other runners?

Just wondering if any of you are runners? I was doing great keeping up with my running until yesterday when I got completely exhausted just 2 miles into my run. I ended up having to walk two different times. Just looking for another pregnant runner to commiserate with!

Not really a runner, more of a jogger...

I just found out yesterday that I am and had no problems on the eliptical (I have been subbing that for running b/c of the calories it kills!) yesterday. I feel crappy today though so we'll see how it goes day by day. TG today's not a gym day though, because I would be dragging my arse there. Next gym day is Thursday...then Friday...so we'll see. I hope hope hope to be able to keep up my 4X a week schedule.... :

on your run...my sister had a book about running while pg, she's the runner of the family (has done marathons...)

When I was pg last time I had to stop jogging (and it was moreso jogging then LOL I have gotten faster) at around 20weeks because it got uncomfortable-felt like she was gonna fall out!

eta: Paige...I have a 6yo DD and 3 yo DD too!!!

Congrats Heather!
Yeah, I am certainly more a jogger, too! My SIL (another runner in the family) has that Runner's World pregnancy book and she's going to lend it to me, but she's moving this week, so it's packed away.

It's nice to "meet" you and it's good knowing I'll having someone working out in pregnancy with me. Let's keep each other going!

How old will your girls be when this baby is born? Mine will be almost 7 and 4 1/2. I'm a little nervous about the age difference since my girls are so close to one another.

Thier birthdays are a week apart in late October...so basically 7&4. I'm nervous about the age difference a bit. I'm more concerned with how each will take it. DD#1 took DD#2's arrival harder than I expected. They only seem to get along when DD#2 is doing whatever DD#1 wants her to .

So when's your next workout day? LMK how it goes...

Ugh, I'm exhausted already and I have to go to a PTO meeting tonight....

I'm worried especially about how #2 will take it. She's still so much our "baby". She needs lots of attention and cuddle time and she gets in bed with us almost every night still. We have the option of putting her in pre-K next year and even though I said I would never do it, I'm kind of considering it now, partly for some sense of normalcy for her and so I can have alone time with the baby. She's in a 2 morning a week preschool now, but next year the 4 year old class gets pretty pricy. Lots of big decisions to make in the next few months!

My next run is tomorrow morning (a preschool morning!). I'm trying to not be discouraged if my body just gives out on me again, but it's kind of hard not to, kwim?

I'm a runner and ran five months into my first preg. I remember being so exhausted in the first trimester that I felt I could fall down on the side of the road and go to sleep! It got better. I plan to run as long as I can this time too! It definitely made life easier after birth.

You ladies all have WAY too much energy...Run some for me, will ya?

I'm a runner too Just got back in fact :

I've noticed that I'm getting tuckered out easily. I got tired after 2 miles today!! Usually I do 3 miles but that's pushing it. AFterwards, it feels like I ran more than I did.

Good for you Celeste! I hope we will be able to support and encourage each other with our running through our pregnancies. I plan to run until it's just too uncomfortable. I'm doing a 10K in either Feb or March, but I haven't decided which one yet. There's a special 10K (Peachtree Road Race) on July 4 that I REALLY want to do, but I'm just not sure it's going to happen this year, kwim?

I'm hoping to get a good 5 in this afternoon. After two days of not running, I'm ready to be out there.

I ran until 28 weeks in my last pregnancy, but in retrospect, I don't know why I kept it up so long. It really didn't feel very comfortable.

I was hoping to run a 10 mile race in May this year, but I suppose I'll have to do it next year.

I haven't been running much since I found out about this pregnancy. I've been sleeping a lot instead...

Well, I got a run in yesterday, but it wasn't as long as I had hoped. I usually do 5, but only did 3.5 yesteray. It felt good to be back out there, though. Looks like no run today b/c it's raining.

Good for you for running!!

I'm hoping to get in 3 miles today!

I'm hoping to run as long as I can this pregnancy. I didn't run much last time (once or twice!).

I was doing 2-3 miles 3 times/week until we went to visit family for Christmas. I've been sick ever since (cough/sore throat stuff, not morning sickness) and now I haven't ran in a month!. :P

Hey Shannon! That happened to me too. I was running about 5 miles or more 3-5 times a week, then I got sick, so I hadn't run in almost a month.

Hopefully, you'll be able to get back into running again!
