I emailed out the names and addresses this morning, so if you didn't get a copy, just pm me here. I'm glad I found people to do this with.

Do we have a deadline? Just so I know how to juggle finances...

Also, are we shooting for red purples or blue purples? Since the two together can look horrible!

i was wondering the same on both points. i'd vote for blue purple, myself, but that's just me!

additionally, i haven't ever pre-washed my fabrics, so... i'm wondering if you use Fray Check or something to keep them from coming apart, or what?

very excited!

Usually you wash the large cut that you get from the fabric store prior to cutting it into blocks. Just pre shrinks it.

Normally I zigzag or serge the fabric before prewash, so they don't fray in the wash.

I sent mine out, too!
In case anyone was wondering- it cost $.63 to mail the fabric in a legal sized envelope.

I'm getting really excited!!

I sent mine out today! I had more left over than I thought I would so I hope every one has the right amount! This will be my 2nd quilt, so I will most likely leave it blocked. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with as well!

Okay, I am going shopping tomorrow....will ship out on Monday.

However, because of late adds and so on, I am a little confused...

Are we sending 9 or 10 people 9 6x6 squares of fabric? Or more??

I got my first fabric yesterday - I love it! I am planning on just the blocks, with a border and a nice fluffly tied quilt for our house. See, I haven't managed to make myself a quilt yet!

I sent out 8 squares to 9 people. I got my first fabric in the mail yesterday--thanks Kerrie!

OOps, I counted myself as the 9th instead of 10th. And I had your address Carrie
post #38 of 116
so 8 squares to 9 people other than myself?

So 80 suqares total - including the 8 that I keep?
It seems that's the deal. I went through my personal group emails and that is all the info that I have. Not counting the person who would have made the 11th, that you can personally email. I still think it's 8 to each person making 80 squares.

I got two packages of fabric today, it was so exciting to open the envelopes and see what is inside!

I'm going to wash up my fabric and hopefully get it cut and mailed by Monday.
