Bringing Home Baby - Why do I watch? - Page 2

I saw one episode of Bringing Home Baby the other day and the woman was a cancer survivor. She was Breastfeeding and even had a lactation consultant in to help her! Good for her! I have only seen one other episode when they had a LC come into help.

The thing that gets me about the Baby Story show is they always tell the mom to "push like she is mad." Mad??? She is about to give birth to her child! What is there to be mad about? That drives me nuts!

Yes, she does have a responsibility to try to find solutions to her problems -- but don't we, as lactivitists, have a responsibility to try to build a better system so as to minimize her pain, and increase the odds that she will continue to bf?

Yes, but we also need a place to come and talk about it and vent. You gotta be able to vent it out, so you can get to the place where you can be productive enough to do something about it.
