Simon occasionally uses a pacifier, mostly when we're in the car. The only brand that he's liked is Avent as well. He's not big on pacifiers in general, preferring to suck my finger, but I think the Avent pacifier is the kind I would recommend.

Hi! I have a December '05 baby, although I didn't hang here much during my pregnancy...

Anyway, I started giving our December DD a pacifier around week 5-6, when we had to start taking car rides. She hates the carseat and will scream and scream. Now that the back seat is entirely full of carseats, it's not like the good old days where I could hop in the back and nurse or give her a fingertip to console her. I figured the binky was better than anguished screaming.
