My son and I are doing a projects with maps. This discussion go on to famious homeschoolers. Specailly wanted to know ones from our state.

His biggest question (and funnist) was "Did there parents let them do it in there underwear too?"

So how many others have this problem of getting clothes on their children besides underwear?

My dd wears clothes (somewhat reluctantly) but almost never wears her underwear!! I think she learns just fine without it, too!!

I'm currently homeschooling my dd age 5.5 and she typically gets dressed immediately in the morning. However, I am unpreschooling my 3 yo ds and I'm lucky if he even wears underwear. He's one of those who wants to be naked ALL the time. It started when he was potty training but now he's just decided he'd rather be like that all the time. He'll sit and color or read stories with me completely naked, like it's no big deal. Anyone who comes to my house is forewarned that my son will be clothe-less. I've gotten used to it but it is funny when neighbors drop by. Although, they're starting to get used to it too.

We've been learning about ancient Egypt, where kids ran naked all the time. My kids were VERY impressed by this. I try for clothing and hair combed by noon. It seems so anticlimatic to get ready for bed at night if you never got dressed all day. Plus we have long tangly hair with sensitive scalps.

The other day at the library a 2yo dressed in pants and shirt showed me her bellybutton. Her mother reprimanded her for showing her tummy. I said, heck, at least her clothes are on. I think the other mom and I shocked each other...her: Your kids take all their clothes off?! me: Your kids DON'T??!
