FINALLY!!! She's here!!!!

Well, mamas, she is finally here! Lily Grace was born at 9:30 this morning after my labor began at 6:30a.m.
We had a successful waterbirth with baby being born in the sac still, praise the Lord, since she was covered with meconium and that virtually stopped her from inhaling any of it.
8 lbs 9 oz and 20 1/2 inches long.
Nursing like a pro. No rips or tears and I'm up and feeling GREAT!

More birth story to follow later. Overall, it was a very easy labor. When my contractions began at 6:30 this morning, they felt different, like a period. Never got worse. Few pushes and she was here!

Wow! Oh congrats!! I am so happy for you! I have been following you inthe overdue thread and am just thrilled for you!

All these girls being born.....hmmmm

I just love her name, if Ian had been a girl I wanted to name him Lily and of course I love the name Grace (my dd's name!)

Congrats, she is beautiful! Born in the sac, huh. Isn't that supposed to mean that she will be blessed with good luck? I think so.

Congratulations! I'm so excited for you. She is just beautiful. My 2 year old is sitting here with me and when I pulled up the picture she said "Look at the sweet baby. She sleeping!" I thought it was sweet. Have a wonderful babymoon!

Yippee! yahoo! So glad for you, you patient woman!!!

I love her name so much. I know a wonderful set of twins named Lily and Grace, so I think it's beautiful that you put those names together.

So glad you had a great birth experience. You sure deserved it after that long wait.

Happy Babymoon! We'll have to keep in touch, as our children are so close in age. I'll be interested to see how it goes for both of us. I hope your older ones are as excited about the baby as mine are!
