HS Momma in need of some reassurance

Hey ladies, I am joining my first HSing co-op and am nervous. the group seems very friendly and well organized, but also pretty Christiany. I'm not a Christiany sort of person and am a little apprehensive about the whole thing. My Mum says it will be good for me (she is privately Christiany).

I know I sound about 6 years old typing this out, but I feel a little uncomfortable.

Hope it goes well for you.... Let us know how it goes.

I don't really mind the Christian homeschoolers when it comes to social decisions. I am not a creationist, and I do teach my children about a wide range of cultures and religions; and that these are perfectly viable worldviews. I specifically teach tolerance to my children and I myself am fairly liberal. I am also a practing Christin. There are some religious homeschoolers who would insist that I cannot be both.

Is this a co op? Or is it a group that meets up on a regular basis? The social grou, with field trips or what not would be perfectly fine with me. The co op would get me into trouble because I would object to some faith's religious intolerance being given to my child as fact.

Every group is different. If it sounds like it has potential, give it a shot.

Yeah I agree, you are just going to have to give it a shot and see if your compatible with these women. If not, start your own group. Call it secular, call it not inclusive or call it the style you would like to homeschool your kids such as relaxed, unschoolers, or whatever.
