Eli has made his grand entrance...

He was born Jan. 06/06 sharing a birthday with Joan of Arc, Rowan Atkinson, Syd Barrett, Carl Sandburg and Kahlil Gibran.

Eli Magellan B.
10lbs 13oz and 55 cm long.

He is a big boy with huge hands and feet and a voracious appetite.

We ended up having a C-section due to lack of progress and his position. His head would not drop down into the pelvis. Regardless it was an AMAZING experience and I'm all good.

When I have time I will attempt a birth story but for the moment, have a picture...

Oh my!!! He is so gorgeous. Can I say? He looks like my babies I'm partial to him

His head is so nice and round he doesn't appear to have spent any time in the birth canal. I'm glad to hear you are happy with your birth experience even if things didn't go as planned. I've had 2 c/s and a traumtic v-birth myself. I'm pleased as pie with all the end results though

Have a wonderful babymoon. Eli is just precious.

Wow, he is good looking! I think c/s babies have an advantage--none of the bruising.

Hey mama, just popping in to say congrats here as well... I am so tickled for you. Hope you and Eli are cuddling and enjoying each other. If you need to chat or bounce a question off me please call anytime. In my experience big babies are good nursers, but to hungry to sleep to well. Hope you are getting all the sleep you need.
