39 week midwife visit was today

FIrst off, I appologize for not doing a "weekly update" thread. I just realized it this afternoon and feel like a heel. Pardon me and my feeble mind

Midwife came this afternoon. My boys were asleep, so it was just me and her. We had a nice time chatting and hanging out. I am the amniotic fluid-making mama...lots of it Baby is posterior, again, with back on the right (keeps going back and forth). Head is down very low. Midwife said that with third babies, it usually takes big contractions to ge tthem to go where you want them. I kind of figured that. She suggested that I put to use the ctx that I have by getting in hands and knees whenever I have any. I've been trying to do that all evening, though I haven't been completely consistant (mainly because its hard to get in the position if I'm not already down somewhere). When I first became pregnant, I started saying this baby would be born under the full moon on it's due date, MLK Jr's birthday. That's Sunday. THe moon will be full. We'll see if I got it right. My mw said she'd love to attend a birth on Sunday She said she's tired of prenatals and is ready for some baby birthing action She didn't officially schedule me for next week. If I wrote down an appointment, I think the baby would wait on it. I'm measuring 39.5 cms (up 2cms from last week! -- can you say 9lb baby!?) and my pee was nothing to get excited over. B/p was 117/68, last week it was 128/something. One swollen foot still here. I showed her my piddly few stretch marks and told her how excited I was about them HOpefully I'll see her this weekend

Namaste, Tara

Yay, Tara, great apmt, mama!
I hope you have a nice big healthy baby this weekend. Full moon and all! My midwives swore up and down this baby was posterior, but in my heart I didn't think so. Guess what? She didn't come out posterior!
I'm hoping you're little one turns, or is already in the right position.
Keep us posted!

Tara-- I feel you on the swollen foot thing. My feet got HUGE; mainly the left one. It got to the point that the only shoes I could wear were my fake birks. I tried to wear them the other day, and I nearly fell out of them. I guess I had really stretched them out!!! Time to buy new shoes! (and new pants, shirts, etc )

I hope Sunday is your day then! Good luck!

Sounds like a good appointment! My little guy keeps moving back and forth as well! I am lying on my left side as much as possible and it seems to be working ~

Here's to a full-moon baby!
